The owner of Pizzeoli, Scott Sandler has a wide range of experience in different fields. He holds an MBA from San Diego State University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Pizzeoli was born out of his love for pizza and desire to run his own business. Before Pizzeoli Scott spent 11 years in commercial real estate investment as well as baking bread and pizza for over 10 years at home as a hobby. After being open only 6 months, Pizzeoli was the St. Louis Post Dispatch's critics pick for best pizza in St. Louis. Pizzeoli was also selected for St. Louis Post Dispatch restaurant critic Ian Froeb's top 100 restaurants in St. Louis. St. Louis magazine voted Pizzeoli best new pizza place in St. Louis for the year 2014. Pizzeoli also made St. Louis Magazine A-List 2015 for best pizza
