Event Overview

This all-levels gentle movement class draws on basic practices from yoga and qi gong. Students will be guided mindfully through foundational yoga postures to help release stress and tension and increase awareness in the body. Qi gong is a movement practice similar to tai chi and uses very simple flowing movements and deep breathing to relax the body and increase vital energy flow.

Students will also learn restorative meditation techniques aimed at bringing more ease, energy, and rest into the the body, mind, and heart. Expect to practice 10-20 minutes of restorative meditation each class. No experience necessary--ALL are welcome!

Lizzie is passionate about the power of peaceful hearts in creating a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world. Her classes emphasize mindful movement, deep breath and body awareness, self-healing, and sacred rest. She is also a practitioner of chi gong, an energy practice similar to tai chi, and she loves to incorporate this into her yoga classes. Lizzie has completed two teacher trainings at the 200-hour level. She is always exploring and deepening her practice and she loves to share these life-giving tools with her friends and students.     This is a wonderful class. Lizzie really knows her stuff and I came away feeling de-stressed, relaxed, positive and revitalised. The venue is beautiful and I would highly recommend trying out this class. Thumbs up all around :)
