Event Overview
Some people stress about watercolors thinking they're hard. Well, maybe they are, but why not have fun trying? You never know... you just might make a masterpiece! Or, at the very least, you'll get to paint for over an hour, a meditation in itself.
This class is designed for those who want to try their hand at watercolor. Several techniques including washes and wet on wet will be taught. This stress-free class is all about experimentation with the medium and trying new methods.
The first part of the class will be covering basics: brushes, tools, paper types, and a few other basics.
The second part of the class will be a demonstration of several techniques and approaches to the medium, and then the third part is you're free to create!
In no way will you learn everything about watercolor from this single class, but hopefully you'll come away with some new ways to think about painting with watercolor. No one knows everything about watercolor. That would be silly! Plenty of encouragement will be provided.
(The fourth part of the class, if we all make it, is a group critique to share what we have learned.)
