This class was great. We learned important techniques for lighting a product shoot and the many options that exist to make the items we brought to class look their best. Cool studio and the instructors were very helpful and friendly.

    From Teacher:

Thanks so much, Brian! It was great meeting you and I'm glad you learned some valuable info from the class!

This class was perfect! Personal instruction from highly experienced photographers. If you photograph products for any reason, this class is a must-attend.

Allison was awesome and the class was fantastic! I wish there was a follow up class of some sort so we could practice and learn to do more.

This is a review of your location and a recommendation. We missed the class because it is very difficult to find, and not the neighborhood to be walking around in after dark. This neighborhood may be on the up and coming during the day but at night it is very unsafe! The studio is located at the back of another storefront, and the signage is poor! The nearest parking is across the street and is unlit and dangerous and the lot next to the building is half way down the block! There were people loitering on the sidewalk, homeless people pushing carts down the sidewalk, it was just really bad juju and so my friend and I missed a class we'd very much wanted to attend. Recommend no classes after dark and better signage before I come again.

    From Teacher:

Hi Marlene, and thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry you missed the class last night, and would like to address a few of your concerns regarding the safety of the area for the future. In addition to my business, Wine & Whey, EXDO, and many of our other neighbors host monthly events, some with thousands of attendees, and safety of guests has never been an issue. In my short time in the neighborhood, I haven't had problems with loitering or vagrancy of any kind, though the two public transit stops located adjacent to the space do often have people waiting for busses. I would be happy to send two kits with all of the equipment and instructions for you and your friend or schedule a time that works better for you.

I am available Tuesday through Friday from 3pm until 8pm, and on weekends from 12pm - 5pm, as well as by appointment outside of those times. Should you have any other questions, comments, or concerns, I can be reached by phone at 303-815-9270 or via e-mail at abbey@thecartelstudio.com.
