Alex Holderness

Alex grew up as a swimmer, and was fortunate enough to see a fair portion of the US and the World because of the sport. He even once had his sites set on the Olympics and spent summers training in hopes of making the '88 or '92 squad. Those dreams ended with shoulder surgery - and a 20 year hiatus from all things athletic. In 2008, Alex started running on a bet with his wife. He fell in love with it, and shortly thereafter jumped to triathlon. His first race, Vineman Showdown in Marin County, CA, was a blast, and he has not looked back. Since then, Alex has raced in over 25 tris around the country including 3 Ironmans (Coure d'Alene and Madison, WI 2x), 3 half irons (Wildflower, Vineman, Boulder) and 20 Olympic and sprint distance events including a top 5% finish at the 2013 USAT Nationals in Milwaukee, WI. All this is to say that he loves doing this, and loves helping others find their joy in the sport.

In addition to triathlons, Alex is a distance runner, a skier and a surfer (when he can get to the water). He works in technology as an executive and also own a consulting company that provides strategy and cultural development workshops to larger corporations. Alex lives in Denver, CO.
