This was a lot of fun and very different. The instructor was good, although she wouldn't give details on how to make coffee paint, but of course she has some for sale. You can go through a painting together with the class or do your own thing. A little less coffee tasting than I expected. I did end up buying a small paint and made a few more paintings at home.

The location chosen was perfect for the event! I attended with a friend of mine and we both had an absolute blast! We would each attend again, even if the characters/scene was the same. My only suggestion would to assign characters to people sooner, but I can see how this could be difficult if people signed up closer to the event.

As a class, we created a variety of coffee-based art. In addition to creating, we got to sample and learn about coffee. Perfect for a Saturday morning outing (hungover or not). Definitely worth it!

Painting with coffee as the medium was a unique and fun experience. I appreciated that a frame was provided for our paintings, and that there was coffee to drink. There was info provided about the coffee making process while we waited for the paintings to dry and I felt that was a little slow and overly detailed. Overall, a fun experience

**Updated to say that the events staff contacted me and agreed on the location letting me know among other things that they agreed with me about the location and, " I just wanted to let you know that this is the first and the last time we would work with that venue." Knowing that this would not be the location again, I'm upping my experience from neutral to positive. Enjoy your speakeasy murder mystery!**

I have mixed feelings. This was a Christmas gift for my husband, and he loved it, we had a lot of fun. People did a great job of dressing up and playing the game in character. It was fun that everyone was involved. The negative was the location. Although it was a cool bar, it was not a private space, and it was very loud with sports playing on the TVs. We had an area of the bar, kind of sectioned off, but it was extremely difficult to hear, especially for all group announcements like a reading of a will or an update from the police, etc. I would not do this again, unless I knew they had reserved a room in the bar, or had some kind of more official way to make announcements, like a microphone. It also would have been better in a more speak easy looking space. For example, I would recommend the 2nd floor of the Galway Arms, an affordable, private space that would feel more like a speak easy and allow for hearing everything going on in the murder mystery. I'm sure there are other suitable locations as well that feel more like a speak than an open section of a regular bar. If the location changed, I would definitely recommend/do this again.

I had the pleasure of attending the BYOB Painting with Coffee class last weekend and it was an extremely positive experience. There were two teachers who assisted with the initial sketch and painting of the design. The class was great and allowed you to either follow one of the instructors on a sketch they had chosen or you could pick your own design and they assisted with giving you tips on the best approach to finish your painting. If given the opportunity I would take this class again and highly recommend others to take this class!

This event was fantastic! The location was perfect and the characters were spot on. The most fun part was getting to interact with all of the other characters, watch the plot unfold throughout the night, and receive secret updates on your character throughout the night. Even the murderer didn't know who they were until halfway through the evening! I'm looking forward to doing this event again in the future.

As a budding academic, I’m aware that I need to have some sort of online presence outside of Facebook; after all, universities don’t much care if you’re super active on Facebook. It’s been too long since I did any HTML, and I’m a Wordpress Embarrassment. Therefore, I set my eyes on an easy, WYSIWYG solution. That’s where the Squarespace Power Hour came in. Aly took us through the basics of creating a website using a template, various options to do so, and brushed against some of the nitty gritty details of optimizing Squarespace in terms of eCommerce and SEO. I loved that the teacher focused her class on the particular interests of the students. There were a couple of bloggers in the class, as well as a few people into eCommerce, so we got to explore all of those areas, and she was able to give us pro-tips on all of those various areas.

I was very nervous and didn't think I would remember everything for my role but once we started I was in character. Everyone was there to have fun. I highly recommend this and will add that you don't have to come with a group or with anyone because you will have no problem talking talking to people.

This was a fun class but I didn't feel it was worth the cost. We were in a poorly lit, freezing cold basement of a coffee shop and there was minimal coffee 'education'. That wasn't my main interest so it was fine, but I would've liked something more for the price. The painting instruction was ok- I didn't care to paint a Hawaiian Woman so I chose my own portrait and I didn't get any instruction on technique. Lastly, I would've preferred an inexpensive canvas instead of just a piece of paper to paint on.. its wrinkled and warped and will need to be flattened to be hangable.
