Jemal was so helpful and knowledgable while instructing our class. He was professional, prepared, and on time with the event. He is a charismatic teacher and engaging and is on brand with our company! We have hosted him in our space 2x and we plan to continue using his services. He has great recommendations and also is extremely responsive. He was easy to book with and has so many connections throughout the city it's amazing! I would recommend the DIY candle making event because it is easy with instructions, a fun way to socialize in a group setting, and the end product is unique.

Both the wine-o candles and the adorable little air plant terrarium are going to make awesome house warming gifts. Thanks again!

As my first taste of dabble, this class exceeded expectations--a really fun but intimate setting in the back of a beautiful plant shop, some structure and teaching (with background info on the origins of paper!) but plenty of room for creativity... I went solo as a middle-of-the-week, after-work creative release and could not have felt more welcome or at ease. Jemal, thank you so much for being knowledgeable and inviting, for the lively conversation and even for letting me stay a few minutes later to finish binding ANOTHER journal! Can't wait for the next class.

Thank you so much for participating and for being such a great Dabbler rookie, Roxane! We just added this feature to be able to respond to reviews. Hope you’re still Dabbling it up in Denver! #LetsDabble

The venue was very cool -- a little workshop nestled in the back of a plant shop. The crafting was made easy because the instructions were clear, the teacher was hands-on in helping, and the tools were very helpful. And there were a few options! As a newbie, I picked it up quick and was able to make two books!

You got to design your own tea towel, learn basic skills and then take home your towel, hoop and some extra thread to continue crafting. The knife throwing portion was also a lot of fun and not intimidating at all. Plenty of time for everyone to try out their new skills plus we got to eat some delicious pie. The instructors were very nice and helpful. Grab some buddies and book this activity the next time it pops up. It's a fun night out!

As promised, we were throwing knives within 15 minutes of the class starting and had plenty of opportunity to throw (e.g.: it wasn't too crowded so you felt like you were watching most of the time). Would strongly recommend taking this class whether you're looking to join a knife throwing community (yup, that's a thing) or just looking for something new to try!

Knife throwing was a lot of fun. It felt a little dangerous, but in a good way. I think there should be ear plugs provided for those who are more sensitive to sound, as it was pretty loud. The bouldering lesson was super helpful, although those who were brand new to climbing found it almost too challenging. I think a top roping option might work well next time for beginners.

Knife Throwing was a fun class - definitely what dabble is all about! Everyone was nice and supportive. However, the 2 hours was a bit long for the basic knife throwing we did, 1 hour would've been enough. And there were only 2 targets for 10 people, so it was hard to get into a groove because you had to wait ~10 mins between throwing so everyone could get a chance.

This was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the knife throwing more than the rock climbing. I liked that we got to try both bouldering and climbing with a harness. It was definitely a workout but you only do as much climbing as you want. All climbing gear rental was included and the instructors were friendly and helpful. I recommend this class for a unique adventure

Class was great! I went to do something new and exiting and that's exactly what I got. We learned how to throw different kinds of knifes and using different techniques. It was so satisfying when the knife sunk into the target. I also met some great people. Would highly recommend to anyone!

This was an awesome class! What a blast! I used to throw knives a long time ago for fun, and when I saw this class pop up, I had to go. But a series of conflicting commitments prevented that from happening, and then the class disappeared for a while. The class reappeared under the direction of Jay, the owner of Dabble. Unfortunately, the day of the class was predicted to be in the 40's, and probably too cold for most to be outdoors, so Jay found an excellent indoor place to hold the class. Thanks to Brooklyn Boulders for such an awesome venue. Jay introduced everyone to the art and science of knife throwing. We started out with 1/2 spins and progressed to full spins. Everyone had a great time and I met some really cool people. One thing that impressed me was the number of women at this class. There were 3 couples (so 3 women) and then two women who were friends for a total of 5 women. Wow! That's pretty cool that 5 courageous/curious women showed up to learn how to throw knives! That was pretty awesome! In the end, I think I would have preferred the freedom of an outdoor class. The concept of being outdoors with a campfire going (that is how the class is usually held) with a BYOB scenario is very much my jam. I would take this class again just to hang out and throw knives. Try this, you'll like it! And ladies, don't let this class scare you away, all the women who showed up had a blast.

    Cheers...
