I loved the letterpress demo at Idea Chic! It was great to hear about the history of the Idea Chic letterpress and witness it in action. I had my own house and a full bank account, I'd buy one! The shop was super cute and the hospitality was even better! David and Julie were amazing and it was great seeing them work as a team. They had great stories to share and it was overall a lovely experience. :)

Very engaging instructors! I took a friend of mine and it was a great way to spend an hour and a half! After the class, we ended up buying a lot of stationary (hard to pass it up!)

David and Julie were extremely knowledgeable about the letterpress process and they had some great stories to tell about it along the way! The demo was very informative and fun and the class size was small so there was a lot of time to ask questions and get up close with the process. David and Julie are such sweet people who obviously love what they do and want to share it with others. I would highly recommend this class!!

Really enjoyed this demo. I loved seeing Julie and David's teamwork and process in addition to their shop. They walked us through start to finish on a job and answered any questions we had come up. Being a printmaker myself, I loved being able to talk to them about the process and getting more in depth. They also sent us home with some nice stationery! Made me excited to get back to printmaking myself. Also, the group size was limited to 4 which was perfect. I'll be on the look out for other workshops from them in the future!

The place was a little difficult to find, at first, I thought my GPS took me to the wrong location because it wasn't in the little row of shops visible from the parking area. But there is a more hidden middle section so just follow around the corner past that row of shops. It's quite a cute little area once you figure it out and the print shop is tidy and thoughtfully designed. The class was really interesting and very well organized. I was completely unfamiliar with the letterpress process and it was fascinating to learn about it and see the beautiful old press named "Hazel" in action. Julie and David did a great job explaining the process and I left with new knowledge, resources and a fun swag bag which was a wonderful bonus. Thanks!

So happy I signed up. David and Julie were well prepared, the class was organized to include discussions and demonstrations of a wide range of both the technical and business aspects of letterpress. Handouts and samples were included. Wonderful to see two creative young folks build their dream around this art form. They designed and carried out this lovely class in the same deliberate and caring way they likely run their business. I wish them much success!

A great letterpress demo!

David and Julie are amazing and passionate Letterpress business owners and designers. Their attention to detail and quest for perfection make them unique. The class touched on everything from design to the basics of taking care of such a magnificent piece of equipment. There was never an awkward or boring moment and no question was too silly. The only downside was that it felt too short! Time flies when you're having fun (and learning something new!)

I really enjoyed seeing the letterpress running and talking about everything from the cost to the different materials that can be used on the machine.

The class was fantastic -- engaging, relevant and enjoyable! David provided some very concrete tips on how to add value and build a meaningful professional network. He facilitated a great discussion. Even though each person had a slightly different objective, he managed to weave in anecdotes and examples that were relevant for all. Highly recommend this.

Awesome class. Learned lots of terminology, and got to see close up, the intricacy of letterpress. David and Julie were excellent and inspiring.
