Emily's Perspective

As an art therapist I believe that all people can benefit from engaging in the process of art making, regardless of their skill level or experience. The process I use is client-centered and psychodynamic. I honor and value the cultivation of a close relationship with the self, empowering true growth potential that is absolute within the therapeutic relationship. Compassion and acceptance are rooted in my practice, which encourages healing in a nonjudgmental environment. Expressing art in this atmosphere inspires the intimate exploration of an individual and their story, to create and build a better understanding of their process and journey.

Modalities used include: Art Therapy, Cognitive Therapies, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Mindfulness Training and Psychodynamics
