This was the most amazing class. David is super knowledgeable and made the class fun and interesting. I am making my kefir as we speak. He generously gifted the class with kefir grains, showed us how to make kefir, creme fraise and cultured butter in an hour and a half. I am definitely buying the book to learn more. Good people like this make the world go round. Thank you David!!!!

Fantastic class. It was so great that they could get a teacher as knowledgeable as David Asher, who had a cool funniness to him and a great desire to impart his knowledge. I fed my kefir grains last night, and I'm planning on buying his book to make more than what we learned in class last night. So great!

This workshop was amazing! David was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He walked us through the process of making creme fraiche, cultured buttermilk, cultured butter, kefir, yogurt, cheeses -- all from kefir grains! We got to taste everything but the yogurt and cheeses (which he didn't make, just talked about) and it was all delicious, and we got to take home some kefir cultures to grow and use for our own fermented dairy. David clearly cares about what he's doing and was enthusiastic and articulate in passing it on to us. We were so pleased with this class!

I enjoyed this class very much. A few technical glitches with presentation, but overall, very informative.

Hands on teaching from true artisan bread makers. Fun, informative and simply delicious.
I can really appreciate all the work it takes to craft such a wonderful loaf of fresh bread.

Whew! I now have a heartier appreciation for bread bakers, as it is such an involved process, but a beautiful one as well. This class was well-taught and Ethan and Tony really know their stuff and were able to demonstrate their passion for bread.

What a great class! The guys at Cellar Door Provisions clearly have a passion for sourdough bread and have perfected the art and science of their craft. It was cool to be in their kitchen and do some of the hands on parts of the process. The final product was some of the BEST sourdough bread I had ever tasted! I'm excited to try out the starter they sent us home with. Long live Homestead Logan Square!

Malea really knows her way around broths The lecture was great but I think sampling the broth was the best! I'd never thought of chicken feet for broth but now that I've tasted it I'm willing to give it a try.
