John is a founder of Beanjoy. Working with his dad at family-owned, Columbia Street Roastery, John travels the world staying on the cutting edge of coffee, meeting growers and sharing their stories with you in a great (and sustainable) cup of coffee. BeanJoy is passionate about coffee and exists to help coffee enthusiasts discover different beans from around the world and to brew them at home in fun, creative and personalized ways.

At first I was intimidated by all the equipment that our teacher John introduced but learned quickly that it's very simple to make a good cup of coffee. I liked how I was able to taste all the different notes and flavors, almost like a wine tasting.
