This class was super informative and interesting. Volunteer travel seems daunting, but this class gave really great strategies to get started.

This was a great class that exposed me to a lot of great resources and information for volunteer travel. As a result of attending the class, I'm set to volunteer in Nicaragua in March!

I found the presenter to be knowledgable, candid and very likable. She had a thorough understanding of the subject matter and answered a wide variety of questions with ease. The location was stellar, right near downtown, but easy to find. She provided a plethora of follow up hand outs and links which was appreciated. Though she clearly represented her business, the presentation was far from a sell, yet it left me wanting to learn more about what she does. I have connected via social media and plan to stay engaged.

Great way to learn about volunteer travel and discuss with an open-minded group! Loved the class and hope to book my first trip soon.

This class was awesome! Kathryn had great energy, useful experiences to share and was well organized in her presentation. The other attendees in the group were engaged, positive, and like minded. I left feeling inspired with new ideas.

Kathryn's knowledge of the voluntourism industry and enthusiasm for helping others achieve what she describes as a "transformative experience" left me feeling as if I wanted to sign up for an opportunity as soon as I got home! Based on her experience and research, both personal and through her venture Unearth the World, Kathryn provides unbiased views of the positives and the challenges that exist in the voluntourism industry. Additionally, she provides a number of solid resources to utilize if you decide to embark on your adventure which was especially helpful given the mass amounts (and potentially unreliable) data available. Plus, she's an awesome person with really good energy!

Kathryn and Mike were fantastic - they made volunteer travel easy to understand and provided the tools to help make it happen. I left feeling invigorated to get started after being around so many like-minded people who prioritize travel and volunteering in their lives. Would recommend this class to anyone trying to find a way to combine their two passions and make it happen!

I absolutely loved this presentation, I loved seeing ages from 21-50 years old wanting to be involved in something such as "voluntourism". Kathryn's presentation was concise, informative, and extremely inspiring. She did a great job involving everyone and answering everyones questions, it was an extremely comfortable setting. She and her husband Mike are doing a phenomenal job and promoting this I hope that they will both be able to further develop their program!
