Laura Reyes
Laura Reyes is an artist, educator, and coach who helps build wellness through the creative arts. Laura holds an MS in Art Therapy from Mount Mary University, a BS in apparel design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the author of Passing Through, the culmination of her Master of Science research that explores how the art therapy studio experience transforms the lives of homeless and runaway teenagers.
After extensive work with children, families in crisis and organizations, and over a decade of an experience as an art therapist and art educator, Laura realized there is a universal need to give voice to one’s inner experiences through creative expression. From this realization Laura founded her business HeartSplash.
HeartSplash offers a range of workshops, online programs, retreats, and coaching opportunities designed to help expand creative and personal growth by utilizing a unique blend of art and creative writing. Laura loves being a mom and lives with her son in Chicago.

Kandy C.Reviewed on 12/19/17Laura was such a great teacher. She taught us the basics and then taught us some fun techniques. It was great to learn how to watercolor and be given the space to play. Plus she sent us resources so we could continue to watercolor on our own. I highly recommend this class.

Laura is an excellent teacher. She took us step by step through water color techniques, having us experiment with each step. We each went home with our own little "portfolio". She made the class fun at the same time. And after the class was over, she sent us a pdf of everything we had learned. I loved this class and will be back for more.

This was a great, non-intimidating introduction to exploring several different mediums of art and experimenting with each in a relaxing way. I really liked the variety (some creative writing, colored pencils, different shapes/sizes of canvas and use of watercolors). Laura is a very warm and approachable teacher, who allows students to create without over-doing it on the instruction, so people can enjoy the process of creativity. I would definitely recommend this class!
