Great for someone building basic knowledge of WordPress or website jargon (domains, hosting, plug-ins). Lisa is very knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciated her willingness to answer my many questions!

Lisa did a great job of covering the basics of Word Press in a very short period of time. I came away knowing much more than I did prior to the class. Lisa has a nice style of teaching and encouraging people to ask questions and really understand the materials themselves.

This class was designed for the Wordpress user that is up and running. .. . .not for the user that wants to know how to set-up the download. Instructor came with loads of experience and IT terminology. The location was easy to find and the room was comfortable for the large group of attendees.

The location is terrible. Hosting an event a few blocks from Wrigley Field on a game day and a week day at 4:00 p.m. is a terrible idea. It took almost two hours each way from Streamwood! There was no free parking. The room was dark and windowless. In short, the venue needs to be much-improved.

    From Teacher:

I'm working on a new venue, and the staff had requested we test an earlier time. Since it was difficult for a few folks, I'm looking for alternate places.

Instructor was late and room was not ready for presentation to begin on time. Content was not enough to fill two hours. Content was not tailored to audience enough to make the time worthwhile. Lots of use of "insider language" on the part of the instructor - who was clearly knowledgable but lacked the ability to transmit that knowledge easily and succinctly. Class timing and location was not very strategic - tough to reach location on a weekday during rush hour.

    From Teacher:

I do try to explain any jargon up front and welcome questions. I was trying a new format and continue to streamline the experience.

I don't have much experience with Wordpress and found most of it too complicated.

    From Teacher:

I'm sorry you found it too complicated - I'm always glad to answer questions (even after the class is done) or pull back to cover more basics if anyone requests it.
