This tour was fantastic. It was engaging and interesting. I learned so many new things and explored new parts of the city. I highly recommend this tour.

Elizabeth's enthusiasm for and knowledge of Chicago architecture and history made for a great tour for tourists and natives alike. The Tiffany mosaics were beautiful and the stories about the Picasso were entertaining.

The tour was entertaining and informative. The games added a nice twist to traditional tours and made me recall early information during the tour.
I also liked the time to sit down and enjoy a beer in a real establishment. We paid for a “2nd beer” but were only given one. They was confusing. So, I recommend not handing $ over at the beginning of the tour for this part of the experience.

The tour plus food samples were great! I highly recommend it to foodies or those who are just interested in learning about the Fulton Market/ Randolph area. Our tour guide Alex was very knowledgeable and fun! The only bummer was that we didn't get to sample a sandwich from JP Graziano's because they were closed for the holiday (just means that I need to go back), which Alex ended up treating us to beverage to make up for this.

Our tour guide, Elizabeth, did a fantastic job guiding us through the history of the city. Our tour was at-capacity but we had no trouble following along as we toured the Loop.

I love Chicago Detours! This was the second tour I've done with them, and they're so friendly and knowledgeable. We got to explore a fair bit of the loop, learn about a lot of the history, and just have a great time. I even got to learn things about the pedway, which was always a mystery to me. Highly recommend!

Ellen did a great job on the loop interior walking tour. It was a good mix of pure fact and Chicago folklore. It was a good compliment to the architecture boat cruise. I would recommend it to locals or tourists!

It was a nice day - so it was fun to walk around and we visited a few cool places! There was more drinking that food -- perhaps you could charge a bit more and get a few more snacks. I felt light headed at the end of the tour.

This was such a fantastic tour and the perfect summer outing! I live in and am from Chicago, but I still learned so much on this tour. The stops were great, the beer was copious, and the Morgan our tour guide was just delightful.

This tour was full of really interesting details about the history and buildings of this neighborhood. I’ve been through the Fulton Market area before but I didn’t know very much about its history. Our tour guide Alex was full of knowledge and his enthusiasm was really contagious too. And of course the food was awesome! It was a really great way to get out and explore the city in a new way.

I took this tour over a long weekend simply because I had some spare time, it was a great way to spend 2 hours! As a Chicago native and Chicago history buff, I'm always looking for new ways to learn and this is definitely a treat! Our group was small and Elizabeth, our guide, was great! She knew so much and moved quickly but efficiently to keep you interested! Chicago Detours will definitely be getting me on board again!

This was a more enjoyable tour than I thought it might be - focused on architecture and design but also the fun behind the scenes stories of Chicago's mob life and restaurants, etc. There are many interesting facts provided and of course, the beverages make it all the better!! And you get to enjoy a little outdoor time! Make sure check forecast as you do walk from a few key places, but still relatively close together. A positive and memorable experience.

This tour was sooo fun! I used to be a tour guide so I wasn't sure I would learn anything but I definitely did, and it was even super fun beyond that. We took it a while ago and now we love showing visitors around to all the fun little spots we discovered on this tour. Plus the food is delicious!

Great tour highly informational even for locals

Great time! The guide was fantastic. We went to the Cultural Center and a church within a skyscraper, two hidden gems downtown that I didn't even know existed! Highly recommend.

This was a fun and informative tour. Learned lots of new facts and it made for a good time despite the rain. Nice alternative to the usual date night.

We had a wonderful time on this tour!! Our guide, Elizabeth, was fantastic in every way. Not only was she knowledgeable about the historical aspects of our tour, we threw her questions about Chicago history in general and she caught them all. She also did a wonderful job navigating our XL group through the streets of Chicago, and she elegantly handled a run-in with a heckler. I will definitely recommend this tour to friends and look for other Chicago Detours to attend!

I had a great time on this tour. I learned a lot of things about Chicago even though I live here as well as about the World's Fair and the lasting impacts. I will definitely do another tour with this group but there is a fair amount of walking so I'd sign up when the weather isn't subzero.

This tour was awesome!! Alex knocks it out of the park! You are transformed to different time periods while touring hidden gems throughout the Loop. Alex was not only able to provide historical context about each spot but also included not-so-well-know facts and tidbits about each stop. I am completely hooked on Chicago Detours now. I can't wait to do another tour with them!

The iPads added an extra dimension to the information presented. I would recommend this tour to a friend, and already have to the Macy's employee who asked about it. Nice job!

I wasn't aware that the class would be with Chicago Detours, so when I was first at the hotel I didn't know where to find the group. Once I figured that out, the tour was great! Very informative and fun, even for a Chicagoan. Would definitely recommend to others!

Great class! As promised, you do get to see a lot of places in Chicago that otherwise you would miss. (And I should know, as I live here!) The teacher Alex knows his stuff - so be prepared to come with questions. The gist of it? I would highly recommend this class to anyone who has even the slightest interest in the 1893 World's Fair. It's worth the money and the time.

This was such a fun way to be a tourist in my own city! :) I think whether you are out of town or a lifelong Chicagoan, you could have a great time and learn something from this class! It was fun, interactive, entertaining, and I learned some really cool stories about some Chicago staples (and a couple off the path places). I'm not the typical history buff who wants to learn the details and facts and years, but I do love hearing stories. While Elizabeth did know the facts, she also told them in an engaging way. :) I would definitely recommend checking this out!

This was an excellent tour for tourists and locals alike.

This tour isnt what my friends and I expected. Per the description, it stated it was a historic pub crawl with an educational twist. We didnt go into any pubs during the tour. The tour guide walked very quickly ahead of the group and started stating facts before the group was all together. We couldn't hear her well.
The appetizers consisted of a 1/4 burger, a bag of chips, and a roll with fondue poured on top. Not really what we were thinking when this tour cost $40. I am confused why you have to pay additional money for wine or beer.
My group wouldn't recommend this. There are so many options in the city for tours and we feel the description is not true to what we did today.

Do it a warmer day because you do spend a lot of time outside. Even if you're a local, you'll learn some interesting things you never knew about Chicago history.
