Rae Reichlin

Growing up a dancer Rae moved, learned, and worked hard with everyday. She loved using her mind and body in tandem and pushing them to their limits.
When Rae decided she did not want to pursue dance professionally, she had to find something to replace that feeling of working hard and getting tangible results. This is where she found fitness. Going to the gym quickly became her favorite activity, and she found herself jealous of all the trainers who got to stay there and help others accomplish their goals and learn about their bodies all day. So she decided to become one of those trainers herself, earning a personal trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Rae learned and took on all the she could, teaching pilates, bootcamp, and barre classes, all while building her clientele for personal training. She quickly learned that fitness and exercise was not a one size fits all model, and pursued a functional movement screen certification to aid her in individualizing her clients and breaking down what they need for their specific bodies.
Rae has worked with clients of all levels and fitness backgrounds, and loves to see each and every one come to meet their goals in their own way.

ABOUT THIS TEACHER

    I always feel empowered and strong after ladies who lift. I love how Rae breaks down the movements and she explains them so well. I also love how she focuses on form and quality over speed and quantity. She is great at correcting any wrong movements and making sure you perform the movements properly. I highly recommend this class to newbies or those who have been working out for years. I learn something new in every class.

    Great experience! I entered completely ignorant of strength training and lifting; I left feeling confident that I could create a basic strength training routine on my own - and would have a community of support if I wanted one. I highly recommend! I should mention that I'm almost 56 and worked out side-by-side with Ladies of various ages - never feeling out-of-place, pressured, or judged.

    This class was incredibly empowering! I took this class because I wanted to learn how to lift with good form in a judgment free environment. Rae and her trainers were refreshing instructors! They gave individual attention to each woman in the classroom and stuck around afterwards to answer any questions people had. They truly want every woman to be as strong as they can be, and it was so empowering to be in a room of other women led by women. There were students of all ages and backgrounds in the class. I highly recommend this class to any woman who is even slightly interested in lifting, it was such a comfortable learning environment!

    Truly the best way to spend a Sunday! Rae, Justice, and Brittany are all so encouraging, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. It’s a great environment to learn, get stronger, and make new connections.

    I have to admit. I have never set foot in a gym, but Rae and her awesome ladies made me feel normal in what otherwise would have been an alien experience. I left feeling accomplished, which is a lot for me! And I would definitely recommend this class to any newbie who just wants to know what to do with weights at a gym. Ladies, I promise I'll be practicing my squats after this!

    I love LWL 2! It’s always such a great workout and the energy in the room motivates everyone to work even harder! Love that Rae keeps a few stations for the basics and gives you enough time to really work on these foundational moves, it def helped me grow strength over time! I can’t recommend it enough - come to class and you won’t regret it!

    Ladies who Lift is a great class and gives women the confidence of walking into a gym and picking up those heavy weights. Rae is great at making sure your posture is correct and encouraging you. Absolutely love taking this class!

    After a long hiatus I did a class yesterday and it remains a great workout in a positive environment. Rae is a great trainer and creates a setting that empowers you to do your best and stay focused on your goals.

    Rae has created the sense of community in a gym that I had been craving (and did not know existed). I love her mission of getting more women into the gym.     I generally do not enjoy group fitness, but I love this class! I feel as though I get a great, controlled workout on an otherwise lazy Sunday afternoon. Plus Rae is awesome and had great playlists!

    I have a 19 month old, and haven’t been to the gym since the end of my pregnancy. I signed up for LWL, feeling very worried that I was too out of shape to keep up, and that I would end up embarrassed or not being able to keep up. The class was great, motivational, and taught me the skills and confidence I need to get back to working out. The class itself isn’t about who has the most strength or stamina, it’s entirely about having proper form and working out in a way that works for you. Although I certainly broke a sweat at the end, especially when we did the circuit exercises, I actually really enjoyed myself and never felt judged or overwhelmed. It wasn’t about who did the most or the best, it was entirely about supporting each other to do what we could do. I would recommend this to anyone who isn’t sure, it is definitely worth it.

    I had a blast at my first Ladies Who Lift experience. Rae is incredibly knowledgeable and really breaks down the weightlifting foundations. Over the past couple of months I had been lifting weights with my guy friends but they were not very helpful with watching my form. I knew I needed to get into level 1 of LWL to learn more about proper technique before I possibly hurt myself in the gym. They gave me very helpful tips on my form for deadlifts and I left the workshop feeling like I knew what to look for on my own. I also really liked that we went over breathing technique at the very beginning. That was an incredible tip that I will take with me. The circuit workout in the second half was also super fun! I look forward to doing some level 2 classes in the future. Thanks Rae!

    I can't recommend ladies who lift enough! If you want to learn proper strength training, this is where you want to be. Rae breaks the moves down so they make sense and always is there to correct your form and stresses the importance of form over speed. Rae manages to kick your butt and make it fun at the same time! I always manage to learn something new in every class. 5 stars******

    This was a great intro to lifting and form. The class was educational, a hard workout and fun! Rae made it so much less intimidating to use the equipment and helped us help ourselves (and each other!) by pointing out specific ways to improve our form! Can’t wait for LWL II! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

    As a complete n00b when it comes to lifting, this class was fantastic. Rae gave great instructions and demos, and both she and Justice were incredibly helpful in correcting my form and very encouraging. It was also great to meet other supportive women who were new to lifting.

    Another amazing LWL class! Rae always does a fantastic job of programming to change up the exercises for each class. I loved the accessory work this week where I really felt like I was able to focus in on stabilizer muscles that don’t always get as much love. I cannot say enough great things about this class and am already looking forward to another one soon!

    Amazing class! For women who want a killer workout with a focus on lifting heavy and good form--this class is for you. The class is kept small so that Rae can offer great feedback and coaching to everyone. I only wish I could take the class more often!

    Rae's classes are the best! The Level Two ladies are always inspiring and helpful-- it's a blast to work out in a supportive environment with other women who want to get strong!

    I've been taking LWL classes for almost a year and every single time I learn something new and push myself a bit farther with Rae's expert coaching! I am amazed at the variety Rae brings to her classes, while always staying firmly grounded in the fundamentals and focused on proper form. I love that every class is designed to meet you where you're at that day, and each exercise is presented with modifications to ensure that everybody (and EVERY BODY) can both participate and be challenged on an individual level while still enjoying the positive energy and support of a group environment.

    I love working out but felt stagnant in my routine. I wanted to learn more techniques I could take to the gym myself to switch things up. Rae was very informative and made the class fun. I felt great after the class and look forward to taking more. Whether you have been an athlete your whole life or just getting into it this is a great class to take to make sure you have the correct form and breathing techniques!

    Great class. I had not been in awhile and I now need to come back more often because it's such a great experience. Rae is excellent at correcting form and motivating you do go heavier when needed. I love that it's all strength based and she cares about form over quantity.

    Love that Rae incorporates new moves but sticks to the fundamentals at the same time! I always feel strong when I leave and am reminded of how hard I worked (muscle soreness) for at least 4 days afterwards :)

    What a great class!! The instructor is great at explaining each station and going around to check your posture, making sure you are doing this properly to avoid injury. Will definitely be taking this class again!

    I was so pleased to go back for a LWL level 2 class after loving level 1. Level 2 gets right to the good stuff: fun, challenging workouts each time designed to help you get comfortable with your main lifts. I love how I feel after class. It is empowering to be around so many strong women and everyone is welcoming! I never feel judged because everyone is working on themselves and encouraging you to do your best. It's accessible for all levels. There's NOTHING else like this in Chicago.

    This was my first time at Ladies Who Lift and the class was great. It is a very welcoming environment as well as a safe space to just come lift and get a great workout. Rae does a great job of going over the exercises as well as answering any questions. Once the time starts, she makes sure to correct form and let you know how to improve it. You leave the class feeling strong and extremely accomplished.

    This was my first time at Ladies Who Lift and the class was great. It is a very welcoming environment as well as a safe space to just come lift and get a great workout.     This class was great and I strongly recommend it to any and all women. Like many women and girls I never felt encouraged to lift weights growing up and its crazy that this important component of physical health is missing for so many women. I started lifting on my own but took this class because I know my form wasn't on point and also had some fear around deadlifts, squats and bench presses. Now I feel way more confident to take these on in my gym but also want to take Ladies Who Lift II classes from time to time.

    This class was great and I strongly recommend it to any and all women.     I had an excellent time at this class! I am not a “gym person” by any means but am starting to reconsider :) Rae provides a great amount of personal feedback and instruction for a group class, and I left feeling tired and empowered and happy that I tried something new!     Rae is a great teacher and coach! The modification tips really made each exercise seem approachable for wherever we were at, which was awesome.     This was a truly unique and fun class. My husband and I learned how to workout without getting overwhelmed or killing each other. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! I'd also love to bring a friend if he can't make it.

    Ladies Who Lift is awesome. I was on the hunt for a strength training class that incorporated weightlifting and I couldn't really find anything. After trying LWL, I realized it was exactly what I was looking for. Rae is a fantastic instructor who does a great job guiding you through all of the movements and emphasizing proper form. The classes are small enough that everyone gets some personal coaching from her. It helps that all of the other ladies in class are so friendly and are also willing to help you correct your form. My favorite thing about LWL is the supportive, empowering atmosphere. Everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace but still challenge themselves and work towards their goals. I definitely look forward to going to more classes and getting stronger. I would encourage any lady in Chicago to try Ladies Who Lift!

Rae is truly incredible in how she structures the classes, explains the exercises and gives hands-on feedback throughout the entire class. She makes her available during the class for any question and is so positive and encouraging the entire time. I always take away something from each one, whether it’s a new exercise or way to perform an exercise I already I knew or just plain encouragement that I know will transition into my next workout.     I can't recommend Ladies Who Lift enough. I never would have had the confidence to really try with weight training if it weren't for Rae.     Rae continues to provide a great class, even for LWL veterans. Most of the participants had been to LWL before or had experience lifting, but Rae provides variations to exercises and encourages everyone to add more weight when appropriate to ensure that everyone is challenging themselves.

    When you wake up the next day and can barely walk, you know you worked hard and trained muscles you haven't trained in a while! Feeling great as always. My favorite part about these classes is that I can take my time and focus on myself. No one is standing next to me staring at me waiting to use my equipment, which always happens to me at the gym. I am encouraged to try new things and I love that! Thank you Rae.

    Who doesn’t love weight lifting! This barbell heavy workout had a HIIT feel that I loved due to the station rotations. The small class size allowed the trainer to circulate to everyone multiple times to correct form, that might be the best part! When lifting heavier and heavier remembering and practicing the correct forms and cues is imperative.

    Rae is an unbelievable teacher. I'm learning SO much about my body and how it functions and how to feel my most energetic and most confident self. I never thought I would have fun exercising but I count the days until my next LWL class. I've always found exercise and health stuff to be a stressful and sometimes uncomfortable because teachers don't tell me enough about anatomy for me to truly understand what I'm physically supposed to be doing. With Rae I feel so safe and so supported and SO POWERFUL weightlifting in a community of ladies of all shapes and sizes. Being in the LWL environment makes me better at accomplishing the other hard things in my life. I can't recommend Rae and LWL enough.

    It's not often that you get a heavy lifting environment that is also a safe space for women to learn and try things out without fearing some man-splaining from the guy on the next squat rack. Fortunately for us, Rae has created that environment. Ladies who Lift empowers attendees to step outside of their comfort zone and lift something heavy. Rae is able to scale up and down based on your abilities -- so no matter where you are in your lifting journey you feel comfortable and empowered to move in the best way to meet your goals. You'll cover the "basics" like deadlift, chest press and squat, but also try new things and free weight exercises you can replicate in your own gym -- so the man-splainers can learn something from you ;)

    I've been attending LWL for almost a year now, and look forward to it every week. Rae has really helped me solidify my form for the three major powerlifting lifts (deadlift, squat, bench), and she's gotten to know me and worked with me personally even in a larger class format. You can really grow and challenge yourself in these classes, all while in the company other great women!

    I cannot say enough good things about Rae and this community. I love that Ladies Who Lift allows you to progress at your own pace, tailoring your workout to wherever you are in your weightlifting journey. It's also kind of impossible not to feel like a badass at Rockwell Barbell, especially when surrounded by a whole bunch of inspirational ladies from all backgrounds! Can't WAIT for the next one.

    I went to my first LWL class about a year and a half ago and I honestly feel like every one gets better because I can do so much more and I surprise myself every time. I always leave feeling like a bad ass. I really like the fact that I get my own space and I don't feel pressure or in any rush! Thank you Rae once again for another great class.

    Rae was welcoming, helpful, and structured the class in a simple circuit format in groups of 3 ladies. I have limited experience with lifting, but everything made sense and could be modified for noobs like me. For this class she also had another woman, Justice, helping out when she couldn't be everywhere at once which I think was a great idea going forward. I will be going back!

    I've been going to Ladies Who Lift for a little over three months and I will not shut up about it. This is the most female positive/no-BS weight lifting I've taken. Rae is so supportive and open to all levels/backgrounds of weight lifting. My introduction to weight lifting was in a high school weigh training class that was completely male dominated and very intimidating.     Its been a full year since ive been doing ladies who lift and it never dissapoints. its never the same routine and i always leave having pushed myself to do something new and leave feeling empowered and refreshed. Looking forward to another year of ladies who lift!

    Always a great workout! I love that it's a great combination of strength training and a little cardio, and it always get me feeling stronger afterwards (even though my arms and legs are exhausted haha). Love the community too, we all help each other and everyone is super friendly. Rae continues to teach me to use new machines, to learn new forms, and she brings old favorite moves back too! Overall great experience, couldn't have asked for more. Thanks!

    As someone who regularly attends workout classes I was excited to get to know more about lifting. I wanted to learn more about form and how I can continue to workout on my own without getting hurt.     I have thought SO many times about how much fun I had at Ladies Who Lift! Rae had cultivated such an amazing atmosphere for this type of workshop. I love that LWL attracts women from all backgrounds, all walks of life, and all experience levels – it's truly so empowering. Whether you've never touched a barbell or you're already setting PRs in the weight room, I guarantee you will walk out of LWL with new information you can put to use (and with a super energizing, super sweaty workout under your belt!).

    Every time I leave a Ladies Who Lift class I amazed by how much I have learned in a mere hour and a half. Rae is so damn smart and helps you understand how lifts should look AND feel AND why we do them. If you're looking to try something new in 2019 this is it.

    This was such an awesome experience! I've worked out with dumbbells and kettlebells before but was a complete newbie at squatting, deadlifts, and bench presses - Rae creates an awesome environment to learn in, without fear of judgment. I received great pointers on my form and am excited to put what I learned to use in my workouts!

    Amazing level one strength training with Rae. I knew Rae was excellent from my classes with her at CTF but today I was so impressed by her knowledge of strength conditioning. I learned things I didn't know and I love being able to do weight training that you aren't typically able to do in a HIIT class setting. Already signed up for level 2 next week. I definitely recommend this for someone that wants to know more about strength training. She goes over the basics extremely well.

    As someone who has worked with a personal trainer (for 3 years) and then on my own for the last 2 years, I felt like this class was still applicable to my skill set. It helped me refresh my knowledge, added cues, as well as interact with other like minded women so that I can start to become a part of that community. The participants were motivated and fun to be around. Rae is a very knowledgeable teacher with a positive, no judgment attitude. I had a blast and left feeling like I received high quality training and a kick ass workout. I highly recommend this class!

    I expected to learn something cool in this class, but I didn't expect that it would be so much fun. The class size is large, but it's also very inclusive and you get plenty of one-on-one tips. After it's over you really feel very accomplished, very confident, and very welcome in the Ladies Who Lift community that Rae created!

    Great class for all levels! I was a super beginner and felt very comfortable despite initially being quite intimidated! Those who were more experienced walking around and giving helpful tips and guidance really helped me. It really kick my butt in the best way and I felt really empowered by the end! Loved the photo opportunity, too; felt really bonded to the other participants in our sweaty confident glory.

    I started going to these classes in March 2018 and it's now my favorite way to spend a Sunday! At LWL you'll find a supportive, hard working group of women who are ready to work out. Many are experienced lifters so it's a great place to learn and work on your form in a low pressure environment.

    I've attended several LWL classes prior to giving birth and loved every minute. Returning to the gym is intimidating after baby's born, but Rae made it easy and incredibly welcoming. This is more than a class - it's a community and you're ALL welcomed.

    Rae's class is always a butt-kicking joy! It's never the same workout twice, and you get the opportunity to meet new people in a very positive, motivated, and supportive environment.     This is a great workout and you keep learning more and more! It goes in several circuits and Rae gives enough time for each circuit so you could really work on your form, and go at your own pace. I also liked that she gave several variations, so you could make it as hard as you want to, or sometimes a little easier if your muscles are exhausted but you don't want a complete rest, which is super helpful! Rae is a great instructor, she is great at demonstrating forms and corrects forms throughout the class. Loved it and would recommend to anyone if you want a good sweat, or to learn a few more tricks!

    Rae once again provided a challenging and fun workout. Despite coming back nearly every month and working out on my own, Rae manages to teach me a new exercise or new adaption to a movement during each class. She pays close attention to everyone's form and is always eager to answer questions about training, whether it's specific to that class or something that you've been struggling with during your workouts outside of class.

    I had been searching for a class like Rae's for a long time, and I'm so grateful to have finally found it. I love this class for many reasons. First, Rae is an amazing trainer. I had been lifting for years and she made some tweaks to my form that have allowed me to lift SO much more. The classes are dynamic, fun, and always a good workout. What's more, so much of exercise, especially for women, is about shrinking down -- getting as tiny as possible. Ladies Who Lift is about building yourself UP and getting stronger. There's no language about getting a certain type of body or being able to eat pizza later. Imagine, a workout class for women that is actually about working out, rather than striving to fit a specific image. Come to this class not only for the excellent training but for the environment that promotes working out to be strong, healthy, and empowered.

    I have taken a couple classes with Rae and they have been great. The workouts are challenging and fun and adapted to my fitness level. Rae takes the time to teach proper technique and makes sure we are doing the exercise correctly. The ladies that attend the class are supportive and nice.

    LWL Level 1 was a hand's on class that was accessible, empowering and challenging for all levels. Rae offered thorough demonstration of the movements and the classmates offered lots of camaraderie. Leaving the class made me more prepared for using barbell weights on mine in the gym and I look forward to coming back for a Level 2. Don't fear this class or the weight room - it's FUN!

    Great class, Rae is a fantastic trainer! Even though I had lifted in the past, I felt that Rae provided us excellent training on our form. Other than being a bit sore the next day, I was sore in all the right places, not my knees or my back. The comradery amongst the ladies made the class extra special. Loved it and can't wait for LWL II!

    Excellent class, awesome teacher! Rae did a fantastic job explaining and showing us proper technique for lifting. She and the other women in the class were positive, friendly, and motivating. Would definitely recommend and look forward to taking the level 2 class.

    This was a really great introductory and/or refresher class! Rae did a great job of breaking it down and keeping it real; she facilitated a great class!!! The workout itself was great, my legs are sore! I will be back to LWL2 soon!!!

    Rae is a true Gem. I found her on IG and I dabble this was the fourth class that I've found here so it's definitely a win-win. All the information that she gave about form and breathing through the lifts will have us all lifting weights Tuesday. I think we'll all be sore tomorrow because we put her instructions into effect.     Rae is a true Gem. I found her on IG and I dabble this was the fourth class that I've found here so it's definitely a win-win.     I realized how much I missed lifting and being in this class with woman who was not as knowledgeable was amazing. We lifted each other up and made sure each person in our group had the correct form. Loved it!

    I'd never found a form of exercise that I really loved but I've finally found it in Ladies Who Lift. I'm obsessed with Rae! Rae makes an empowering, fun, and comfortable atmosphere for all ladies to learn correct technique and form of multiple lifts. There is nothing better than feeling strong as a woman (physically and mentally!) and these classes are a great way to build up your confidence in the gym. Rae also does a great job working with each person individually, correcting form and challenging. Definitely will be coming back and recommending to friends!

    I totally love Ladies Who Lift. It's such a supportive community of women who just show up and put in work (hard work!). It's nice to be in a place where you don't have to worry if some sweaty supp bro is going to come give you unsolicited advice or make a weird comment, and it's great to be able to feel comfortable using a variety of equipment in a powerlifting gym without feeling like you don't deserve to be there. Rae is an amazing coach who encourages and also offers corrections and suggestions to maximize your workout and progress in your lifts. Also her playlists are consistently killer and really motivating to push through that last tough rep!

    Ladies Who Lift is a "no judgement zone" lifting class. Not only is Rae incredibly knowledgeable about lifting, she is also so supportive and helpful during the class. She does a wonderful job of immediately making you feel comfortable, and it is easy to get addicted with an incredible community of ladies lifting heavy things!

    Even though I was super comfortable with and absolutely loved Ladies who Lift Level 1, I was a little (ok a lot) nervous to try Ladies who Lift Level 2. I'll be honest, these ladies are STRONG! However, they are also warm, supportive, and encouraging. Rae once again brings enthusiasm, insight, and guidance to her well-thought out (and extremely challenging) class. She is incredibly attentive and will make sure each person is challenging themselves with proper form. This class was definitely tough but I loved every single minute of it. If you want to take it up a notch from Level 1 (and especially if you think you "can't") you should not hesitate to sign up for Level 2! I wish I could take this class every week!

    I was so excited to take Rae's class because I've always wanted to do weightlifting but didn't want dudes to show me. I didn't know anyone who would be able teach me how to do it safely until I heard about Rae! She was so patient and kind and motivating. It was literally the best work-out experience I've had. More spaces for (self-identified) ladies to work out!

    Rae was an inspiration. I have over a year of strength training experience, but have gotten out of the habit over the last few months. A friend invited me to this class with her and I immediately loved Rae's spirit and positivity and desire to motivate women to be strong!     Great class! Rae is very knowledgeable and makes the class a lot of fun! I'm a slightly experienced lifter but I decided to take this class to make sure my form is correct and I'm being safe and to learn something new. There were women of all different skill levels there. Everyone was very encouraging and positive. It was a really great atmosphere and perfect for anyone that wants to get into lifting or wants to get a great workout in with a great group of women. Rae also helped me lift a lot more on my dead lift than I had been doing on my own which was awesome! I definitely recommend this class to all the ladies that would be interested.

I thought it was more teaching technique on all the weight equipment, but instead we learned a few pieces of equipment and then did a full workout, which was good too. I learned how to do a dead lift, and barbell squats and form for bench presses. I also learned a useful way to do situps using a weight. Then we worked out for an hour at a bunch of different stations. They take a lot of pictures of you for social media so be prepared for that.

    There’s no can’t, in this class. You will be challenged to push your body past limits you didn’t think possible and learn that you can!     Rae puts everything that she has into this class. Her commitment and passion rub off on everyone in the room, giving you motivation for the day's workout and for your fitness goals outside of the class.     This class and Rae have helped me not only physically but emotionally. I feel so overwhelmingly happier because of this class. Seeing the growth and progress that all of my classmates have made is amazing. Rae is phenomenal.

    This was my second time back at Ladies Who Lift (first time in Level 2) and again, was more than happy with the entire event. Rae gets down to business right away leading the group in stretches and explaining the circuits that we'd be doing for the class. Since it was level two, she breezes through what we'd be doing (but still briefly touches on technique) which is amazing for all the returning members since we're all hot to get right into the work out! That being said, during each circuit if there was EVER a moment that I forgot what I was doing or was using incorrect form she was quick to hop in and go through the proper technique with me again. The camaraderie between all the women there is so powerful, everyone feeds off each other energy and theres no intimidation in asking another lady for some help. Very uplifting! I love this program and Rae so much! (10/10 would recommend)

    Rae’s rave reviews were well deserved! I workout regularly, but I have been interested in learning more about lifting. This class was a great start! Rae went over proper techniques, was encouraging and hands on. The structure of the class was easy to follow and informative. I’m still sore! (2 days later!) Can’t wait to take level 2.

    This is such a great class! Rae does an awesome job at laying out the basics, making you feel comfortable with form & then giving you a great workout. There was a wide range of experience levels, but she made everyone feel comfortable & capable!

    THIS WAS AWESOME. If you're a lady who is trynna lift, this is the class for you. Rae creates a safe space where you're free to practice your form and get a good sweat in. I left feeling stronger and more empowered to try lifting at my own gym. Come expecting to sweat :)

    I met Rae on a Health and Wellness retreat and once she spoke about her passion, Ladies Who Lift, I knew I had to give it a try. I'm typically someone who just takes classic group fitness classes and hasn't really participated in gym-like/lifting workouts. After Rae's Level 1 class I was impressed by my ability and knew I could only become stronger. She's a great and patient teacher and will definitely be hitting up Level 2 soon.

    This is a great class if you want to get serious about lifting or need a refresher on proper form. It was definitely more of a workout than I anticipated which was great; I thought it may be more talking than hands on, so this was a nice surprise. Rae started with a demo and then we broke off into small groups for practice, followed by a full body workout which I think was about an hour?     I really enjoyed Ladies Who Lift. Rae is very warm and welcoming, plus she is a badass. I know that weight lifting can seem a little intimidating , but this class is nothing but positive and supportive. Highly recommended.

    Great LWL Level 2 Class! We were able to change up some of our main lifts this week should we choose (front loaded squats), chest press trying to get to max weight at 1 rep. I left feeling stronger and challenged! I am happy the nice weather is back so we are able to get outside for some of those tire flips :)

    Nothing beats a Sunday with Rae and the Ladies Who Lift. Very happy I found this group to be able to learn and grow and push myself with strength training, without being judged or feeling self conscious. She pushes us hard, and cheers us on, giving us the motivation we need to power through and be our best selves.

    Rae continues to add new exercises and more challenges for returning LWL 2 participants. This past class was all about tempo, which not only left my legs burning but also with new ideas for my own lifting sessions.

    In the past, I’ve found the gym to be an overwhelming and intimidating experience. I didn’t know how to properly use the equipment and felt uncomfortable to be around the majority of men. LWL has provided a space for women to workout in a judgement free zone. I feel so strong and comfortable around these ladies. LWL has taught me how to use equipment and independently workout in a gym. I used to be afraid to lift heavy weights because I didn’t want to bulk up. Now, I’m continuously increasing my weights. I actually look more lean and tone than I’ve ever been before. LWL is the best!

    Ladies Who Lift has become my favorite weekend activity. I love the positive community of women working together and not against each other. The workouts are fun and creative and it never feels stagnant. There is always an opportunity for me to take my strength to the next level.     After hearing about LWL from a friend, I knew I wanted to take a class. I've been lifting for awhile, so I was not sure how i'd feel in a Level 1 class. The experience was GREAT! Rae made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door and the group of ladies in the class were super positive. I learned a lot about technique and can't wait to implement them in my weekly lifts. I can't wait to take a Level 2 class! If you've been thinking about signing up, do it!

    This is the second time I have attended Rae's class, and I always leave feeling strong, positive and like a total bad ass! She provides a comfortable and encouraging environment to learn. I will keep taking her class as long as I am able!!

    Another great LWL Class! I always have a great experience in Rae's classes. No two are ever the same, and you are continually getting motivation to push yourself further each session. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to step up their strength game!

She was knowledgeable, fun & outgoing! Being that this was a Level 1 class, she broke down all the movements & walked us through them, engaging with us along the way. Afterwards, she had stations set up with different activities (which I LOVED!), due to the variety of them all -- we even got to work outside doing tire rolls!     Ladies Who Lift welcomes and accomadates women of all fitness levels. I’ve learned to improve my posture, form, and lifting techniques.     Level 2 gets right into the workout, but I still continue to walk away with a new exercise to try on my own, a correction on my form, or a new PR. The energy in the class is always uplifting and I'm always happy to see familiar faces and meet new people.     I finally hit a small goal for squat and deadlift in this class and Rae was so super supportive and helpful when I started to get tired. My group mates were cheering me on from across the gym so that also helped. Love these ladies and this class!

    As always this class was amazing! The constant positivity and empowerment is something you can rarely find in another workout class.     This past weekend's LWL class was awesome! Rae added in a barbell complex to the workout at one of the stations, which I absolutely loved. I am always going to these classes, learning new things, and building upon what I have been doing over the past weeks/months. I am excited to see what is upcoming in the next few months with more LWL classes, or workshops.

    Every time I get the chance to attend Rae's classes I am amazed at what she has created!     This past weeks Level 2 class was awesome! Rae is constantly adding new exercises for us to try that compliment the main lifts that we are focusing on in class. Each class is different but you are also building on the strength that you have established in previous weeks. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to improve and build upon their skills.

    I went to Level 2 only a week after my first time in Level 1. I worked harder, made another new friend, and felt like $25 for a workout class this good is a great deal. Also, Rae is somehow magically right behind me whenever I'm confused or doing something wrong, so the number of people in the class is never an issue.

    This was my first Ladies Who Lift class. I really enjoyed. I work out on a regular basis and I am familiar with weightlifting techniques. I still learned a lot from this class. I could tell that the instructor really cares about her clients/class. She wants us all to do well.     Another great LWL Class this past Sunday. Rae always does a great job of laying out the class to where we are building upon previous classes, but giving us the ability to add new exercises that will compliment the muscles that we are working.     Rae is an amazing teacher and coach. All of the movements were explained clearly, and modifications were always offered. She also made sure to check up on everyone as we were working out, and encouraged everyone along the way! This class is a blast.     What a great Level 2 Ladies Who Lift Class!     I signed up and showed up solo, not knowing exactly what to expect.

    Rae provides clear instructions and the individual attention needed to learn how to perform an exercise with proper form. Even if you have experience lifting, the class is a great way to switch up your normal workout.     September's Level 2 Ladies Who Lift class was awesome! Rae is always very hands on and gives great feedback about your workout technique. I deadlifted a PR again at this class and have Rae's guidance to thank for helping me to do so! I'll be back again!

    This was my first Ladies Who Lift Level 2 class and it honestly exceeded all my expectations, it was an amazing experience. I know plenty of people have said this, but it cannot be said enough, Rae is an incredible teacher. She has great energy, she's extremely helpful and encouraging and most importantly, no matter what your skill level is, she makes you feel like a badass. She also has an amazing photographer who comes in and takes awesome pictures, she stays in the background for the most part, but occasionally she cheered us on and asked how we were doing, which was very thoughtful. I also had the opportunity to work out with two other amazing ladies, they were very encouraging and pushed me to lift my heaviest, which I really appreciated. I'm a big fan of this class and of the community Rae has worked very hard to build. Can't wait for the next class!

    Ladies Who Lift Level 2 was great! It was a really good workout and a good step up from the level 1. Level 2 provided an environment for us to use what you have learned in level 1 and lift heavier. It is a safe and supportive environment of strong women! Rae has developed a great community with Ladies Who Lift!

    Level 2 was just as great as level 1. A challenging workout for sure. I am definitely on the beginner end of fitness and Rae was such a great help giving me modifications for moves I'm not quite strong enough to do yet. Not to mention the fact you're surrounded by inspiring ladies who all want to kick ass.

    The level 2 class was a great addition to the level 1 Ladies Who Lift. We got straight to business with the 7 different stations and received great feedback on form, etc. Always a great setting, and good to meet new people. Will definitely be back at another Ladies Who Lift Class!

    A friend of mine had recommended this class to me after I had expressed that I'm interested in strength training, but had no formal instruction. Rae took the time with each person in class and gave great feedback and information. If you're intimidated by weight lifting in general and don't know where to start, I'd highly recommend taking LWL.

    This course and the teacher, Rae, were great! I finally learned how to really understand and perform accurate form when lifting heavy weights. I'm not new to working out, but I'm someone who likes to take fitness classes. This Level one course was exactly what I needed to ensure my safety in other fitness classes where I might not get the one-on-one attention from an instructor. Besides the superior quality content in the level one workshop/fitness class, there was a great sense of positivity and community being surrounded by other woman with likeminded goals. I'm excited for Rea to (hopefully) add more workshops, more levels, and offer them more frequently because I would love to continue to be apart of this community!!! #girlpower

    The class was awesome. I was looking forward to doing the workout one day using the tires =). Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the workout. Young women need to feel empowered, and also to prepare their bodies for future challenges (such childrearing or, like me, aging). I was hesitant to try lifting because I feared hurting myself. But Rae also kept a watchful eye on all participants and corrected our form when we needed it. I would recommend this for a fun afternoon and slightly "out of the comfort zone" for many women. Bring a friend, it will be fun!

    Rae is a top notch trainer, she is passionate and extremely educated. She genuinely cares about everyone in her class and pays close attention to each person. She is so motivating and by far the best trainer I've come across. I highly recommend going to any class she is the head of!

    This was my first Ladies Who Lift class and I enjoyed it very much. Rae helped me out with my form and set up an awesome weight training program. I can't wait for the next class!

    I highly recommend this class for beginning and experienced lifters. I lift regularly and every time I attend Rae's class I learn more new things. Also being in a class with empowered ladies is really rewarding and encouraging.

    Definitely was a great experience. I've done sessions with Rae before and she's amazing. If you want to learn proper forms of lifting, this is a great way to learn!

    The class was great! Super informative, positive, fun environment. Goodie bag alone was worth the cost of admission. Would recommend to anyone I know who is interested in starting strength training but feels intimidated!

    If you're interested in weight training but don't know where to start, take this class. If you've been lifting weights for a while but want to work on your form, take this class. I learned some new tips and really enjoyed the positive environment. A "Level 2" class was mentioned - I would definitely be interested if it was offered. Thank you Rae!

    Rae is an inspiration. Her passion for what she does is amazing. I love the community of women she has brought together to enrich all of our lives and strengthen each of us in our own way... That calls for a lot, with a group of 20 women in a 2 hour period, and I feel it was a success through and through. Thanks Rae!

    This was a great refresher course for me, as I haven't really been lifting in a couple of years. Both instructor and fellow participants were supportive, encouraging, and provided insightful feedback on my form. The equipment/space at Rockwell Barbell was top-notch. Overall, it was a great experience.

    Really enjoyed this class. There were women of all experience levels and Rae and Kailee were very supportive and welcoming. They encouraged us to help each other and watch each other's form, which everyone did. Plus it was a great workout when we were given the chance to put it all together! Double plus- the goodie bag was awesome! I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to dabble (get it?) in strength training or make sure their form is top notch.

    This class is perfect for women who are too intimidated to step up to the weight rack - Rae and Kaylee will teach you the fundamentals of deadlifting, back squatting (great booty exercises!!), and bench pressing (show them guns girl). I've been lifting for over two years now, and I learned some new stuff - so this class isn't' just for beginners. You'll chat and learn for the first hour, and then in the second hour, you'll put all of your new knowledge to work in a killer workout (bring water, you'll need it!). At the end, they gave us some AWESOME swag bags. They also had a nutritionist is class (Katie Rust) who will give you a free consultation so that you can achieve your nutrition/weight loss/ recovery goals. You girls rock - and I'll definitely be back for another class.

    "Ladies who lift" is a safe community of empowered women, ready to push each other in a supportive up-beat manner. I would definitely recommend joining this class for women at any stage of their fitness journey, both novice and advanced level. Rae really checks on your form and helps you push yourself safely. She surprised me at how much weight I can actually handle! Thanks rae, I will be returning!

    This was a great class for all levels! I have some experience with lifting, but definitely left learning new things and feeling great. Rae is very welcoming, funny, and wiling to answer any questions you have.
