We loved our class! Uvae has a great vibe, so be sure to arrive early and take advantage of their happy hour specials. Shamus was friendly and fun, and we learned so much! We left not only getting to learn about candles, but with goody bags and the kitchen even brought us out a new dessert they were trying out. It was perfect for a girls night and I would definitely recommend it.

Shamus was passionate and committed to teaching a great class and educating us in the process. He answered every single one of our exhaustive questions and did so with a smile. We left feeling motivated to get more creative and to be future customers!

We did the Wine and Wax Happy Hour with Shamus for my best friend's bachelorette party and it was so fun! Shamus is so funny and knowledgable. He supplied all the things needed to make the candles. He made us all chapsticks that were customized with my friend's name and date of the party as well as custom labels for our candles. It was so cute and I loved the location. This is a great idea for any occasion and Shamus could not be any more helpful and great. Thank you for a great time.

We had an absolute blast at the soap making class!! Shamus was a delightful teacher and we had so much fun learning the process and crafting our soaps! I cannot wait until they are set up and we can start using them! Highly recommend this class :)

This was technically my second class with Shamus. Making beeswax candles was a lot of fun. Once again, I learnt a lot, and had a fantastic time. Definitely worth taking.

Shamus is a fantastic teacher. He's clearly very knowledgable, patient, and passionate about what he does. I had a great time taking this class, and learnt a lot. Expect to learn about not just the process of making cold process soap, but also the mechanics. He also shares good things to watch out for or consider when you want to experiment with making soap on your own.

This class was awesome. Shamus is a genuine, humble and passionate instructor without being overbearing. You can really tell he has a heart and commitment to natural products. The class was fun and enjoyable. His personality coupled with his teaching style makes you want to become a candle-making groupie! He's generous with tips and information to make your own candles at home. I will definitely take this class again and highly recommend it to others.

Seamus is a wonderful, warm & welcoming teacher. It was way easier to make beeswax candles than I thought it would be & I really enjoyed their origin story. It was a fun time & I got to take home 2 handmade candles.

This was a great class - I enjoyed that Shamus told us the reasoning behind what we were doing, rather just telling us how to make the candles.

This class was amazing --- fun and educational. I left feeling that I truly learned how to make soap, something I have wanted to do for a long, long time. Shamus is a terrific teacher. He took the time to make sure we understood each step of the process, stressing safety issues as well as answering our many questions and sharing his sources for supplies. There was plenty of time for hands-on learning as well. And to top it all off, the soap feels and smells delicious. I cannot wait to use it and to make more of it at home. What a beautiful experience.

Shamus is such an awesome instructor he makes you comfortable while he educates you. The learning process becomes second nature, it just flows and is not forced. I could talk to him forever about "stuff" and he'd totally get it. He shares important dos and don'ts; he teaches based on his knowledge and his mishaps so we can avoid making mistakes in the future. This is my second class with Shamus and if he teaches a class on another subject I'd sign up. He is that awesome!

Great class! Teacher was fun, and the process was actually a lot easier than we expected. You get to make 2 candles, and it doesn't take too long!

This class was great! I loved being able to make non-toxic candles in a fun atmosphere! Shamus was a great teacher and extremely knowledgeable! He even brought some body oils I purchased which smell amazing. :)

Shamus is an awesomely amazing instructor. I read books and borrowed dvds from the library on this subject but this is hands-on the best way to learn. He teaches you about awareness and he informs you on the process. He simplified two weeks worth of reading into a two hour class. You'll leave ready to go out and create your own soaps! I look forward to another class with him, so I'm actually signed up for his candle making class. He is passionate about his works and it's contagious.

What a great fun and great experience. I loved every minute and can't recommend enough. I learned everything i need to know to start making candles at home. Schemes is an excellent teacher and mentor. His classes are laid back but you learn a lot and Schamus will gladly answer all of your questions. Thank you for this experience!

Fantastic class! Shamus is a great teacher, very easy going. He is extremely knowledgeable about the candle making process and answered all of our questions. We had a great time, made a beautiful and eco-friendly product that I've loved using at home. I highly recommend his classes!

This was a fantastic personal and fun experience! I can't say enough great things about this class. I learned so much and enjoyed every minute of it. I lost my fear of handling Lye and am ready and confident to start experimenting and making soap on my own. Shamus is very open and knowledgeable and generous with his knowledge. Highly recommend!

Soapmaking made fun and easy. Our Instructor guided us each step of the way and welcomed questions and participation. He really took the intimidation out of using lye. I am planning on making a batch of soap very soon.

The class was so much fun! Shamus is so personable and really down to earth in his approach. Made me feel like I was hanging out with a friend; very casual, fun way of learning how to make soap! I was proud to overcome my fear of working with lye after his class (and using a stick blender :)). Looking forward to taking more classes from him in the future!

This class was a blast! Learned a lot and it was very informative. I'm glad I took this before attempting to make soap myself because many of my questions were answered and I was able to learn the entire process! Shamus makes some beautiful soaps and it was really interesting to see how it was done. It gave me a new appreciation for the art and science that goes into making a bar of soap. He is a true craftsman.

Wow! What a surprise. We went to this class thinking "How much fun could soap making ACTUALLY be?" Well, let me tell you...We had a blast! Shamus knows his craft and is incredibly passionate about sharing it with the community at large. His home is a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It is perfect for the kind of intimate setting one would want with this kind of class. Truth be told, we were a bit apprehensive of working with lye--but his confidence shines through and empowered both of us to get over that mental block and create some beautiful smelling artisinal soaps. Additionally, I am a VERY curious individual, and Shamus was incredibly patient with my never ending stream of questions. This was both fun and informative--a great way to spend a Sunday evening. I can not recommend this class enough. We look forward to any classes he may teach in the future. Keep ip the great work, Shamus!

I highly recommend this class. We made two batches of soap and Shamus was very good about explaining every detail as we went. He would frequently check to see if there were any questions, and answered every question asked. He was very knowledgeable. The class was informative and fun.

As a fellow artisan, I was excited to see just how soap was made. Shamus provided some fun history on how soap originated and shared his own personal story of how he got into making soap. We had a great time and Shamus was a lot of fun. You can always tell when someone is doing what they love and it's evident by the way Shamus runs his business that he truly is following his passion.
