Scott is a co-owner of Sump Coffee in St. Louis, Missouri; a retail coffee shop and coffee roaster. He is keeper of the flame, green coffee buyer, and chief coffee maker/brewer/shot puller. He continually sings the praises of coffee and how it is more chemically complex than wine and as such, merits a co-equal space in the pantheon of culinary crafts and delights.

    Scott taught an excellent class. I have been drinking coffee for 30 years and have read many articles but Scott's explanation finally taught me what was going on with coffee.
