Great class. I'm not quite ready yet to can my own food, but I'm certainly inspired to go to the library and get some more information to start putting things up myself.

Wonderful and very informative class! We learned how to can (in jars, for those worried about chemical exposure) on the cheap (i.e., using kitchen tools you already own). The teacher even greeted us with delicious appetizers. Convenient to the Logan Square El and a beautiful store.

Extremely useful, even for someone who's had prior canning experience. Lots of tips, techniques and tricks to learn. It was almost overwhelming, in a good way. :) I would definitely recommend this class for people just getting into - or having just started - their canning hobby.

It was a great class. Informative and helpful. Todd answered individual questions at the end, and offered advice. Just finding the place ( The Scrumptious Pantry (The Sumptuous Pantry) was fantastic. One of Chicago's hidden treasures.

Great class, learned a lot of actually useful ways to properly prepare and create my own city garden and I feel i can start asap. Very amenable presenter and teacher, and delicious treats after the course to a reasonably hungry after-work crowd :)

I thought the class was great. We covered a lot of basics and there was plenty of time for questions!

Lee is a great teacher! Passionate and knowledgeable, at the same time able to share her skills with others. We learned so much, the handout was helpful! Bring a pen, you'll want to take notes. And we ended class with group conversation, questions, and appetizers Lee prepared. It was great!

Informative and interesting, this class was a great intro to canning. It covered the basics and got me excited to try my first sauces soon!
