Uma was very welcoming and a great hostess. Her method of teaching was very informative, friendly, and hands-on. The food was delicious and fresh! Now I am not afraid to try this at home.

Not only were the dosas delicious, I had a great time learning from Uma. The class was comfortable, informative, and fun - all components of a great cooking class.
We started by eating an appetizer and discussing the ingredients that went into it. I was so impressed by Uma's knowledge of the ingredients and their histories, uses, variations, etc. She incorporated stories of her family and their cooking traditions.
The dosa fillings/masalas that we made were delicious! I loved being involved in the cooking process and seeing the entire dish being made from start to finish. For it being my first time cooking Indian cuisine, I felt like I got a good grasp on the ingredients and the technique. I actually tried one of the recipes myself a week after.
Great class! I would highly suggest giving it a try!
I almost forgot to mention the homemade mint chutney that she gave us a try of... fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious!
