We built the first rooftop farm in the St Louis, the FOOD ROOF Farm, atop a building downtown. The FOOD ROOF Farm is a unique, innovative project and a platform for urban agriculture and sustainable design. This project serves as a catalyst to improve overall health and well-being of our community.

This class focused on Culinary Herbs and was presented by Katie Marquez of Conscious Apothecary. It was a great introduction to herbs and how they can be easily introduced into our daily meals. Some information was also given about the healthful benefits of the herbs discussed. This would be an awesome class for someone just getting started with a switch to healthy living. Being surrounded by the lush, beautiful plants on the Food Roof was very inspiring and helped to make the class very enjoyable.

This was a great experience all around. The presenters were very informative & provided genuine advice as to how to begin bee keeping in the city. It was also neat to be able to explore Food Roof Farm!

The class was intimate and incredibly informative. The instructor, Jennifer, was so down to earth and approachable. Her genuine passion for beekeeping was inspiring. The location, the Food Roof (Urban Harvest), was perfect! Such a unique way to spend an afternoon in downtown STL. I recommend for anyone, even slightly interested in beekeeping or simply interested in learning more about bees.

Honey Bees was a great workshop. The location could not have been more perfect, and the teacher, Jennifer McCombs, was quietly passionate and knowledgeable. The photos in the hive slides were beautiful.

Presenter really knew his stuff and great to finally see the Food Roof in action. Wish the shade canopy had been replaced, but there was a breeze.

Mary is fabulous and knowledgable. The team that presented the hydroponics class were very knowledgable and passionate about food to table methods and sustainability. The only downfall, and perhaps my fault for not doing my homework, was that this was less of a class on the process and more a sales-pitch for the product. Had I known that I'm not sure I would have paid and gone.

This was a great class on tower gardens. Everything was explained in a simple, easy to understand way. It was helpful to walk through the components, the process and tips for success. I can't wait to get started! Thank you Mary and team!

This was fabulous. I have been reading books and talking to people about my plans to have backyard chickens when I retire in the next couple of years and jumped at the chance to learn from someone who has experience with them.. The teacher was great. This was also my first time at any Urban Harvest event and I love the Roof Top Farm. Mary was really welcoming and nice. What a great thing she started!

The class was very informative. I would recommend it to anyone considering getting chickens. Being able to get personal advice was a huge help in making the decision to move forward on getting our flock started!
