Event Overview
Arts + Science Workshops for Inquisitive Kids
The Curiosity Club designs experiences for elementary aged kids to delve into themed topics. Each workshop is built around a theme which is explored physically, imaginatively, and intellectually. Groups are kept intentionally small so that each kid has the opportunity to influence the direction of the day. The day will offer structured and consciously unstructured activities. Peer to peer interaction and inspiration is encouraged.
Each School's Out Workshop is designed around a theme. The theme for the workshop on Friday, Feb. 2 is: Fractals.
A typical day starts with letting everyone knows the plan, meeting each other through games and physical activities, doing experiments about our theme, lunch, sharing time - where kids suggest group activities which can range from going to the playground to playing hide & seek in the dark to sharing a special skill they have like drawing comic books or offering a karate lesson, delving into an art project, and then closing the day with some reflection and calming release.
