String & Bling: Beading a Pearl Necklace (BYOB)

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Event Overview

In this workshop you'll learn the art of stringing pearls- a classic look, a priceless skill- by completing your very own necklace to wear home. Stringing a strand of pearls is both a great way to begin learning the beading process or addition to your beading repertoire. We'll cover the entire process, including types of string use, how to prep it, tricks for getting even knots, and how to finish the ends securely. After this class you will be able to restring your great-grandmother's pearls with confidence or experiment with those squirreled away beads you've been meaning to use forever! All materials will be supplied. Feel free to bring a few beads to incorporate, your family pearls for us to look at, and any snacks or drinks to have on hand.

The class is taught at Tytin Jewelry in Lincoln Square. This amazing studio space provides an inspiring setting to learn an array of jewelry making skills (http://www.tytinjewelry.com/).

Great class! She was so patient in explaining everything to me, even when it felt like I was asking her to show me a knot for the hundredth time. We even went over by a few minutes because I was so close to finishing the necklace and she wanted to make sure I knew how to put the clasp on. Highly recommended.

I always enjoy the classes at this space, (Tytin Jewerlers).
The instruction was great as this was a little different type of beading class.
I would definitely take this one again!
