Event Overview
Take the bite out of the Midwestern chill and warm up with a Hot Toddy and some mail art. Learn the secrets of mixing an excellent Hot Toddy and finding in it inspiration for making mail art. Our solutions, both alcoholic and artistic, will surprise you.
We will teach you how to make the perfect Hot Toddy. While we drink our warming creations, we will show you how to create fantastic mail art from the packaging materials of the ingredients we just used. Make as many mail art pieces as you wish, or take the skills home with you and work on recycling your own drinking materials. Leave with a new cocktail recipe, a warm belly, and some fancy letters.
All materials, including cocktail ingredients, will be provided. We will also offer "Not Toddies" for those who prefer sobriety.

In 2007 Kathy and Donovan started the Letter Writers Alliance as a way to bring mail enthusiasts together. Since then they have been utilizing their first-hand knowledge by teaching mail art and letter writing workshops in Chicago and creating online tutorials to reach their world-wide members. Armed with their lifelong knowledge and passion of mail art, these two have acquired many tips and tricks along the way and continue to test the boundaries of what is considered mail.
