Event Overview

There are two types of people in the world: People who are looking at the colors on their computer screens right now and calling them "black" "white" and "tan" ... and people who are calling them "midnight" "eggshell" and "taupe."

If you're of the latter camp (or of the former, and would like to become the latter) you might be crazy about color. This Dabble class is here to indulge you and fan your artistic flame, because it's all about being bonkers for "bronze."

In the first part of class, Dabblers will discuss the theory behind color, learn how to use a variety of colors cohesively as well as how to create all the highlights and shadows of any one color. We'll define key color vocabulary, and you'll walk away being able to impress your friends by casually dropping words like analogous, complementary, monochromatic, shade and tint into conversation.

Then, we'll put (color) theory to practice, spending the second half of class creating small drawings to test and perfect the techniques we just learned. Class is suitable for children, adults, artists, designers, decorators, dreamers, or anyone who'd like to put a little more "marigold" and "fuchsia" into their lives.
