Always wanted to write, but don't know how?
In this class, Dabblers will learn how to jump-start their creative writing passion with techniques and insights! You will expand your powers of observation, imagination, and language. You will collect numerous tips on craft and practices from your instructor Katie, a published author.
This class is geared towards beginner and intermediate writers. By the end of this session you will learn how to start a story, develop a character and freewrite when you're stuck.

Katie Leimkuehler, author of the book series Shy Town Girls, works as the Branch Manager of Writopia Lab, a creative writing non-profit for students. She is also a social media strategist and English Professor at College of DuPage. Previously she worked as the Manager of Social Media and Communications at the International Interior Design Association and prior to that she was a journalist for The Chicago Tribune. She received her MFA from Roosevelt University and her bachelor’s degree in journalism and creative writing from Miami University of Ohio
