Event Overview

Have you always wanted to learn to crochet, but didn't know where to start? Well you've come to the right place. Learn to crochet from Chicago's Crochet Diva's themselves, twin sisters Erika and Monika Simmons aka The Double Stitch Twins.

You'll learn the fundamental basic chain, single and half double crochet stitches of this traditional wearable art form by using only your fingers! That's right, your fingers will act as the crochet hook, so get ready to gain a new perspective on the edgy and stylish possibilities of crochet!

You'll walk away ready to continue creating fun, wearable accessory items for your family and friends. Who know's you may even start your own Line of Crochet Apparel.

Bring a good attitude, 2 balls of chunky weight yarn, oh and be picture ready. Erika and Monika aren't known as the Crochet Fashionista's for nothing:-)

The Twins are beautiful spirits teaching something that not only are they professionally successful doing, but love doing it, as well. I learned the basics and look forward to future advanced classes and other DST events :-)

This was a great intro class to crocheting. The instructors were patient and allowed you to go at your own pace. I highly recommend this class for those who do not know the basic stitches of crocheting. Thanks Ericka and Monika!

I had the best time with these ladies!!! They were very informative and willing to share what they know. They also took that extra time to help some of the ladies who were having trouble. I'm left-handed and sometimes it's hard to grasp certain stitches from a right-handed person but to my surprise Monica was left-handed which made my experience even better! I definitely will take more classes with them!

Great class! Casual fun. I hadn't crocheted in 35 years, but once they started teaching, I fell right back into the rhythm!

I loved it that the class was small and personal. The instructors were so warm, welcoming, inspiring, encouraging and patient. Time went by so quickly because we had a blast!
