I enjoyed my day with Roslyn! Thrifting has always been intimidating for me because I never know where to start or what to buy or not buy. I get frustrated when I can't find my size or things don't fit. Roslyn taught me how to be calm, take my time to look through the clothes. She taught us what to look for such as quality of fabric (i.e) organic fabrics like cotton or silk is best. She taught us to still try on things you like even if the fit is off because the clothes can altered, cleaned or even upgraded with new buttons to spruce up a piece.
After, we did our shopping, we went to try things on and Roslyn helped us assess whether an outfit worked for our body type, and suggested if a piece was worth reworking. She helped us with outfit and accessory suggestions too!
All in all, it was a fun day. Roslyn was super cute and super sweet. AND, she brought snacks which was so unexpected and kind. I would say to anyone who is desiring to save money or someone who is intimidated to thrift like I was, GO FOR IT! Take this class. I am glad I did. I plan on going to another thrift store this weekend. I feel a bot more confident now! Thanks Roslyn!
