Event Overview

Maybe you've got a great idea for a movie and you don't know how to get started, or you want to start creating video content for your business. Either way, all movies and videos begin with a script!

This course will start with the basics: choosing the right software (there are plenty of free options!), the differences between writing for the screen and other mediums, how to properly format a script, and different forms of story structure. I'll provide you with handouts of some examples of well-known movies and other videos.

After we go over the basics, you'll write your first script and share it with the class. I'll take you step-by-step through the writing process, from brainstorming ideas, to outlining, writing, and rewriting.

When you leave, you'll have a rough draft for your first project and the tools you need to continue writing!
