Event Overview

Improv for Beginners is designed to teach basic improvisational skills through different exercises and games.This class is great for actors and non-actors interested in exploring the concepts of improv in a fun and welcoming environment. The class is designed to build self-confidence and to develop creativity through the power of play!

You will learn some of the core fundamentals focusing on various games and exercises that encourage trust, communication, agreement (“yes and”); active listening, character, status, and making your scene partner look good. Improv for Beginners will allow you to develop life skills that can be used on a daily basis to help improve your creative thinking, team work, public speaking and listening skills.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

I am graduate of the Improv Program and Music Improv Program at The Second City Chicago and I am currently a member of The Second City Conservatory. I have performed at many venues including The Showtime at Apollo and The Second City-Chicago. I have had the opportunity to learn and grow from many individuals within the professional acting community and I look forward to teaching individuals what I learned over the years!
