Event Overview
Create a copper fold-formed cuff bracelet to wear this summer. Using a torch, students will heat the metal to soften it, then fold & unfold the metal to create their own unique pattern. All copper materials included in class cost.

Since 1999, Amy has been providing students with the know-how to take their visions from concept to reality.She thrives in the classroom and loves inspiring her students to find their own creative voices.
Possessing the talent and ability to convey complex metalsmithing processes through demonstration, explanation, and conversations about the handmade, Amy imparts the techniques as well as her passionate creativity to her students. Her mission is to give her students the power and permission to learn through experimentation, thus giving them wings to soar with.As a lifelong learner, Amy is ever expanding her own repertoire of design and metalsmithing techniques. She relishes the genuine connection she forges with her students in the collaborative and team community environment that she fosters in her classroom.
Amy has taught at the Art Center of Highland Park and at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. In addition, she is currently designing a new curriculum for her students at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago which expands beyond metals into other media including; paper, wood, leather, fabric, and fashion.
Amy will always be a teacher, it is her life calling.
