Come join Sensei Joe as he continues his journey in Tai Chi Chuan (Short Yang Form).
Tai Chi Chaun (Short Yang Form) is a sequence of postures taking about eight to ten minutes to perform. This class will give beginners and intermediates an introduction to the essential elements of Tai Chi and Qi gong as a "Meditative Movement Art" designed to improve focus, core strength, balance and flexibility, The regular practice of Tai Chi will help restore health, heighten creativity and maintain a happy attitude through mindful principle-based practice in a supportive learning community..

Sensei G. "Joe" Vassar is a certified Tai Chi instructor who began his formal study in 1989 at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has provided martial arts instruction for the Academy of Self Defense in Chicago, The Self Defense Studio of Crestwood and the Chicago Public Schools. Joe is a certified instructor awarded the rank of SANDAN (3rd Degree Black Belt). He has recieved certified training in Reflexology and is a Master Reiki practitioner.
