• Transfer and carve out the spaces and shapes that make up your design on your block.
• Ink your block and print your note cards or prints
You’re encouraged to bring in a few simple pictures or sketches of images you might like to work with. Keep in mind, our printing blocks will be 4"x6".

(Prints and small posters are also an option as well)

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
Vanessa is a teaching artist living in Chicago with her husband and two tuxedo cats. After she earned her BFA from the University of Illinois and her M. Ed. in Visual Art from DePaul University, Vanessa went on to teach visual art for 10 years in a neighborhood high school on Chicago's Northside. Sharing her knowledge of art making is but one of her talents and joys. Vanessa paints, draws, illustrates, crafts, builds, sews, writes and hula hoops her way through her creative energy. The constant quest for finding the “perfect material” for making her own artwork has led Vanessa to be the quintessential dabbler and considers trying out new things as part of her practice. You can see a sample of her past and present work (which will undoubtedly change soon!) at www.vanessajoyking.com.
