Event Overview
This session is for you, if:
* You eat more than you think you should
* You have cravings you can’t seem to overcome, no matter what foods you eat or lifestyle you live
* You ever feel out of control with food, like you can’t stop eating, or feel guilty about eating too much or “unhealthy” foods
You may also:
- Feel fear/anxiety, shame, hopelessness, helplessness, or even mixed feelings around eating food
- Feel you're an "emotional eater"
- Overeat knowing you will be uncomfortably full
- Obsess over food for all or a large part of your day
- Worry when you will eat next, if you will have enough food, if you will still be hungry, if someone will see when or how much you eat
- Worry about food before going out to eat, to a party, on a trip, when visiting relatives
Come join us and together we'll:
- Begin to read our bodies and what their true needs are
- Briefly learn about physical causes of cravings
- Learn how to apply mindfulness techniques when eating
- Begin to uncover from where your current relationship with food stems
- Identify and release the feelings (such as anxiety, depression, guilt, etc.) that underlie and surround our unhealthy eating patterns
