This Dabble workshop aims to help you sort out the ever-important step two.
Students will first learn about how to select the right business entity. We'll get into the nitty-gritty details of how to decipher between LLC & Inc, and learn which title is right for your budding business.
Then we'll learn how to save you some money to get established and recognized by the state. Learn exactly how to create your own Illinois corporation or LLC on your own (without shelling out the big bucks to a 3rd party service!) and receive sample documents that will give your entity life after it is created.
Then, with steps 1 and 2 out of the way, you'll be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor with step 3. Onward!

Clint is a registered Certified Public Accountant and attorney with the Chicago law firm of Harrison & Held, LLP. Clint works with the firm's clients on a host of matters, including buying and selling businesses, general counsel for operating business, negotiating, drafting and reviewing agreements of all kinds, tax counsel and estate planning. Clint represents start-up and established businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals. Clint is involved in several community and professional organizations. He has volunteered with the Center for Economic Progress preparing tax returns for low income individuals. During law school, Clint participated in two clinical law offices helping low income taxpayers as well as start-up businesses. This is a great class. Clint is very thorough, knows the subject matter inside and out, and provides lots of handouts. He explains the legal, financial, and reporting aspects of sole proprietorships, LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps. I highly recommend this class for anyone considering forming a company.
