Event Overview

We will be learning what it takes to be part of the growing local agriculture movement from the experts leading the charge. We will begin with a detailed tour of the Uncommon Ground rooftop farm, the first certified organic rooftop farm in the country.

Following the tour, you will have the opportunity to learn and participate in a panel discussion led by Chicago urban agriculture leaders, including:

- Helen Cameron - Co-Founder of Uncommon Ground
- Alex Poltorak - Urban Canopy
- Ramon Gonzalez - Garden blogger at My Brown Thumb and Publicist for One Seed Chicago
- Fritze Roberts - Member of the Rogers Park Garden Group's Organizing Committee
- Michael Thompson- The Chicago Honey Co-op
- Breanne Heath - Growing Home
- Moderated By Todd Jones of Every Last Morsel

You will walk away knowing how to start or join your own community garden, as well as pick-up gardening tips and tricks. Stick around after the discussion for food, drinks, and connecting!
