Indigo is no longer just for jeans! This beautiful blue hue has been popping up on textiles in fashion and home decor.
This class will provide you with an introduction to natural textile dyeing with indigo. You'll learn about this traditional dyeing process and the materials and plants involved. Witness a demo of the dyeing process and dye your own natural cotton napkins in indigo vats to take home.
Pamela will teach you the different simple techniques of tying and stitching fabrics to create “resist” areas where the distinctive Indigo dye will not be absorbed resulting in beautiful patterns.
