The northern lights, also known as the aurora borealis, are on many people's buckets lists due to their breathtaking colors and mesmerizing dance moves across the sky. The northern lights can be elusive and spotting them is not always a guarantee. This workshop is about the tools and know-how to help you succeed in viewing and photographing the lights. 

In this workshop you will learn:

• Where you can view the lights;


• How to increase your chances of seeing the northern lights;


• What to look for when chasing the lights (the northern lights often appear different to our eyes than what we see in photographs and videos);


• How the lights behave; and


• How to capture a great photograph of your successful northern lights viewing (iPhones and point-and-shoot cameras won't work.
