How to Travel Hack Like a Boss
20 Have Dabbled
Education
Someday I'll get out of this town and see the world.
Someday I'll follow my family ancestry to the homeland.
Someday I'll tell work I've had enough, and jet off to a remote place where no one can find me.*
If you're waiting for "someday" to come around before you make your move to see the world, you might be waiting around a very long time. The truth is-- life is complicated-- and it's not always going to present the perfect opportunity (financially or situationally) for you to make a clean get-away. We're done saving pennies for the trips we want to take, we're taking life by the horns and learning to travel hack.
In this informal Dabble class, participants will learn specific strategies to travel on the cheap to almost any location. This includes: accruing large amounts of frequent flyer miles without ever stepping foot on a plane, getting the most from frequent flyer credit cards, cashing in miles for great flight deals, using social media and other tools to funnel the best flight deals your way, finding inexpensive room and board, and meeting interesting people while traveling.
We'll be sharing ideas for places to visit, and developing strategies for getting the deals that fit your life and budget. Each participant can expect to leave not only inspired, but also with actionable suggestions tailored to them and their dream trips. Bring yourself & your sense of adventure along, and join us!

A year and a half ago, Rob Modzelewski first heard about travel hacking, and decided he wasn't going to wait for "someday" to come around before he could travel to the places he dreamed of visiting. Learning tips, strategies, and a "hacker" mindset from experience travel hackers, Rob ended up accruing over 300,000 frequent flyer miles in less than nine months. Since then, Rob has swam with sharks in the caribbean, fed monkeys in Japan, whitewater rafted in Costa Rica, and flew roundtrip first class to SXSW, all for shockingly low prices (a $77 roundtrip flight to Japan anyone?). Along the way he's made friends with many other experienced travel hackers, and is eager to tap into their knowledge, as well as his own, to deliver the best, most up-to-date, strategies and recommendations for aspiring world travelers.
Rob was great. I really loved learning about the different credit card offers and the websites that help you travel. But I felt like a ridiculous amount of time was spent talking about personal finance, credit scores and how to improve credit scores. I'm pretty financially savvy and felt like I a lot of my time was wasted reviewing information I already knew ( and thought most people knew....but I was wrong).
