In this class I will help debunk the myths that most American's are taught about world travel and help you get started on your journey to becoming (or continuing to be) a global adventurer.
We will:
1) Identify, contextualize and categorize our fears
2) Understand + Address Naysayers
3) Uncover your Travel Style
4) Identify long-term planning strategies
5) Work through some high-level Budgeting
6) Packing, Packing, Packing
7) How to create the right Mindset
8) Prepare + Deal with Culture Shock
9) Cover basic Safety + Health
10) Plan for Re-entry Shock
...and drink some wine! Because you can't talk about travel without wine. ; )

There were a lot of great tips, we all discussed our fears so that helped me feel like I wasn't a crazy person for being a little afraid sometimes. I sometimes get a bit frustrated when people who are REALLY novices ask questions like "how did you save money for your trip?" because I feel like that's a topic for another class. Otherwise, everyone's questions and story telling helped me get ready for my next trip. i also really appreciate the reading list and a list of any helpful websites.

This class really inspired me to start traveling. I learned how to travel solo safely, which is a huge concern, because I am done waiting around for everyone else to have the time to travel. I have the travel itch and now I know how to move forward.
