Event Overview
Game development has been democratized in the past few years with the introduction of Unity, a free, professional-quality development and coding environment. It wasn’t designed with kids in mind, but we think it’s one of the most fun ways to get kids coding and creating digital worlds. It’s not easy, but it’s very powerful. What they create with it is entirely up to them! In this recurring 3 hour workshop, we cover the basics of Unity, including creating your first scene, creating and manipulating primitive objects, and the basics of coding in C#. One class will get you rolling, but we’re willing to bet it will only whet your appetite. Don’t worry! This course is repeatable, allowing you to brush up on your basics, use this time to practice, or get expert advice from from our guides.
