Business Networking

Business & Technology
Successful entrepreneurs and executives often say they wish they learned how to build and add value to a business network earlier in their career. At any stage of your career, come learn how to network effectively on and offline.
Leadership recruiter and entrepreneur David Sandusky shares what he has learned about networking including common successes and mistakes. Networking is a process about adding value to others and strategic in nature. Networking is not about pitching for business, funding or a job. Networking brings anxiety for many and part of the reason is the pressure of elevator speeches and ice-breakers. Although both will be covered as part of the class, many will be relieved to learn how to be real and take the edge off of ineffective pitch. You will leave with:
- positioning including your value proposition, purpose and objectives
- understanding of your current environment, competitive position and trends
- a selection of your target market including prospects for proper targeted networking
- a communication strategy
Our goal together is to increase your likelihood of managing an effective network and giving back new networking skills to those who could use the tips.

The class was fantastic -- engaging, relevant and enjoyable! David provided some very concrete tips on how to add value and build a meaningful professional network. He facilitated a great discussion. Even though each person had a slightly different objective, he managed to weave in anecdotes and examples that were relevant for all. Highly recommend this.
