Did you know coffee beans are actually seeds of a fruit? Coffee seeds. Just doesn't sound quite the same dose it?
There's a lot of magic that happens to that fruit before it finds your cup. As soon as the coffee cherry (that's the fruit we're just talking about) is picked, it's processed using one of several methods to separate those little seeds from the fruit. Here's the cool part--depending on how they process it will dramatically impact the taste of your morning ritual, or afternoon pick-me-up.
After talking about these different processes we're going taste the differences by utilizing a method that's brought coffee professionals, growers, friends, and cultures together for over 100 years.
Whether you're a coffee geek looking to brush up on your knowledge and test your palate, or someone to who "making coffee" means pressing the 'on' button on your Mr. Coffee, you'll enjoy this class.

Christoper Ibeling
Christopher Ibeling is a Homo sapiens, an early twenty-first-century twenty-something year old who occupies most of his time in a continuous, self-defeating conflict concerning the best way to not waste a life. Within that search he has found a strong affinity for coffee and a strong desire to find other like-minded homo sapiens with whom he can share ideas. The greater part of his adult life he has been making coffee for more than a handful of cafés and along the way he has picked up a number of tricks of the trade.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Jeff and Chris (?) at Fluid...we learned a great deal about coffee growing practices, cupping, and really just enhanced our knowledge and love of coffee in the process. These guys are definitively and deeply passionate about coffee, so it's a treat to sit under their tutelage. Can't wait to see what they'll teach us at the next class...
