Pies and tarts are a fast and easy way to pull together an outstanding meal in no time.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to make and fill pie and tart crusts – the perfect vehicle for fruits and vegetables. Each student will make 2 pies and 2 tarts – two sweet – a seasonal fruit pie and a rustic galette tart and two savory – a veggie-filled tart and a quiche in a flaky pie crust.
You’ll also learn how to prep your fruits and veggies for the best outcome, and how to make and work with frangipane (almond cream), cheese fillings and fruit glazes. You’ll leave class with pies and tarts, smartphone accessible recipes, pie and tart-making tips, and plenty of inspiration and confidence.
All of the food, supplies and equipment are included.
Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable so if you cannot attend, please pass your ticket to a pastry lover of your choice.
The Good Food Project is built to make cooking fast, fun and accessible for everyone. Everybody should know how to cook things they enjoy eating and the more things you can cook, the better.
