Event Overview

We don't regret how much better we feel after going vegan / gluten free, until there's a piping hot, gooey batch of chocolate chip cookies within a 5 mile radius of our immediate reach.

All kidding aside, the truth of the matter is that being kinder to our bodies and our planet doesn't have to mean we deprive ourselves of the semi-sweet things in life. In fact, with a little know-how, we can create scrumptious desserts that look & taste just like the real things.

This Dabble class is an introduction to gluten free and vegan baking. Learn the key ingredients used in alternative baking, and rest assured that nary a wheat, dairy, or egg product will touch the batter of your dough. Get tips for adapting traditional recipes, as well as a few new recipes to work with, and learn the variance in baking time, storing, and mixing that goes along with baking animal and gluten free.

Anyone with allergies, restricted diets or a curiosity for alternative baking is encouraged to roll up their sleeves and get their hands messy. The best part? We'll all take home the fresh dozen of cookies we bake in class!

But you butter beware, because when you give a vegan a cookie, chances are ... they'll want a glass of milk ;).
