  This was an excellent introduction to the Machine Shop and it's potential. It was interesting and the teacher was knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic. It was a good balance of listening and hands-on experience. I wish there was an advanced class for this!

  The Machine Shop Basics class was so informative and fun, all thanks to the great instructor Nathan.

  Nathan was very organized, on point and was wonderful at explaining the different roles of the machines and how they work together. Hands-on is what I was looking for and Nathan did not disappoint, as I fabricated from aluminum bar a die (half of a pair of dice). By using the dice tutorial we were able to use hand tools, CNC and have something to take home.

  Be sure not to miss this class as you will look at your surroundings completely different after Nathan schools you in Machine Shop Basics.

  What an awesome experience. Before class, I'd never touched a welder. After class I couldn't wait to start practicing on every scrap of steel that I could find. Nathan is obviously quite brilliant, but he's a patient and engaging teacher. Highly recommend!

  Awesome class and intro to welding! For a 2 hour class, it was very informative and I can't wait to dive deeper into welding. Definitely gained a lot of respect for the art! My only critique is that it would be great if there were some follow up classes to practice technique some more.

  The teacher Nate was quite enjoyable and knowledgeable, not just about science and his trade but a person who knows the value of $$$.( When and how to spend it). He shared all of my concerns. He didn't talk down to people and didn't look past them.

  I came in with very little knowledge of welding, I didn't have much Hands-On, I couldn't weld didn't even know how to tack weld, and I'm now wanting to pursue deepening my knowledge with welding!

  This class was so fun! We started out with a very interesting lesson on welding basics, went over tools and where to shop for supplies. We then moved into practicing welds. Nathan was an amazing instructor- he is kind and funny and he kept the momentum going throughout the class. Highly recommend :)

  Class was informative and fast paced. I learned some history, tools, and actually how to weld. I can now make metal stick together. It's just not very pretty yet. Would suggest this class for someone that hasn't done any welding and wants the basics.

  Real good class. Well run and very informative difference between welders and at least know the basics. With practice I can now weld mild steel for simple projects or repairs. Not bad for a two hour class. The instructor is a super nice guy and knows his stuff. Lots of energy.

  The right amount of information for a beginner! Not too much as to be overwhelmed, but enough to know if you want to continue your learning. Nathan was patient and conscientious! Plus we got to actually weld which was the best part!

  This was a great starting class. I just purchased a welder and was intimidated to start to use it. This class reviewed basic safety and how to do basic welds. The instructor, Nathan, was patient and informative. Everyone got to try and do a couple of practice welds. It was fun. I feel much more confident giving my welder a try at home now.

  Nathan was very well informed and walked us through the history of welding with the occasional lesson in plasma dynamics thrown in for good measure. I really appreciated the time he took to make sure all of our questions were answered, and it was a blast to get to do my first lap joint weld! Thanks!

  Nathan is really good at what he does. This was an amazing class, super informational and fast paced, with a large hands on component. Seriously, tons of info almost like drinking from the fire hose, but always on point and related to what was happening in the class at the moment.   Great class to de-mystify welding and get a change to actually do a little welding yourself. First hour is informational which helps sets the stage for giving a try yourself in the second hour. It was a great value, and I would highly recommend it!

  Fantastic! I took the class with my 16 year old son and it couldn't have been better. Just enough information to get an understanding of the different types of welding, and associated equipment, followed by hands on practice. We loved it!

  This was a pretty good class. It is mostly lecture, so be prepared for that. But the information was interesting and informative. You do get to try welding at the end of class, which was fun. A good overview if you know nothing about welding.

  We had a great time, we learned so much about welding history, different techniques, welding machines, best protective gear, etc. Chad is a fun guy who knows very well what he is doing. It was extremely informative, he was very patient with us. We highly recommend this class. 5 stars.

  My husband and I took the Welding Basics class with Nathan in June. We had a wonderful time and learned a lot. Nathan was an enthusiastic and excellent teacher. Nathan was super patient for the hands-on part of the class and gave great directions. We would totally take another class from Nathan.

  Nathan was fantastic! There was a wide range of skill levels in our class of 7, so he ensured that everyone was comfortable as we each tried welding at the end of the class. I definitely recommend this class for first time or beginner welders to learn more and test your technique.

  Great class! Well organized and Nathan explained a lot about the background of welding, different types of welding, recommendations for purchasing welding equipment and supplies and of course we got to try it out!   I was very happy I took this class, having never even seen someone weld, by end of class I was confident that I could do some (although not pretty) basic welding. Very relaxed atmosphere, instructor was patient and gave positive encouragement.
