Event Overview

Motorcycles Are For Girls:  The first of six, entry level, hands-on topical classes. These are designed especially for women motorcyclists interested in learning the basic skills of motorcycle maintenance essentials.  Although this class is targeted at women riders in the title, all are welcome. No pre-requisites are required. This is a beginners class. Venue to be determined based on class size. Can do individual or small group of friends.

Example class: Simple Oil and Filter change - Discussion & Hands On

• Checking oil with sight glass vs. dipstick (dirty/clean) 

• Draining oil, filter removal and replacement

• Checking the drain plug

• Traditional  vs. synthetic oils, gear oil types and additives

• Replacing your air filter

• Other fluids to be checked and changed regularly depending on the motorcycle: Fork oil, antifreeze, shaft drive, transmission. 

Every class will also cover basic tools required to do the job.

Notes: This is a simple class but one of the most common areas of maintenance performed, and worth doing yourself as it saves you both time and money. The class itself will be hands-on to learn how to do your own oil change or watch/assist with someone else’s. If you bring your own bike with the necessary oil, an oil filter and a new drain plug washer, we can do it together I can dispose of the used oil.

Please Note

This experience has a minimum of 2 students required to go forward. You'll be notified if it is below minimum 7 days in advance. If the minimum is not met 24 hours before the event, you’ll have the option to pay the difference for a private event amount, transfer to another date or Dabble experience, or receive a refund.
