Event Overview

Have you ever wanted to take a well-loved beat up chair or bookcase and turn it into something spectacular? Have you seen furniture transformations on Pinterest that have sparked your interest?


This summer session will focus on using various craft materials to do just that. Each participant will be provided with a small piece of furniture to recreate (or feel free to bring your own!), as well as any craft materials that are needed. Maybe you want to celebrate your favorite sports team with a Broncos theme chair. Or maybe inspirational quotes are more your style. Simple and chic is always an option as well. Come express your personality and self-soothe with this relaxing and fun summer session. You will surely gain a sense of accomplishment when you see your final product!

Leigh Ann has many years of experience working with children, families, and adults suffering from severe and persistent mental illnesses. One of her passions is facilitating therapeutic groups and watching the healing power which exists within numbers. She believes peer support is the greatest gift we can ever give to one another. Leigh Ann has a history of working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. However, she also enjoys working with people who wish to further understand their existence, values, and personal philosophies.

You are always the expert in your life. Therefore, as a counselor, I will meet you where you are at and walk along side of you. A sincere approach with genuine compassion is my upmost priority when working with groups or individuals. I practice from strength-based approaches, such as motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also believe that exploring past and present attachments with others, can help understand our current behavioral patterns. Life is a journey, and it would be my privilege to be a part of yours.
