Event Overview
Whether you are starting a new business, an organization, or some other form of public outreach online, you probably are going to want a website. You may want to build your own to save cost, or are thinking of hiring a designer to help you. However, both of these options can be very costly in time, money, or both if you just jump into building without first planning.
Before you start picking colors and designing a logo, let's make sure you have a great foundation to build on! The content and architecture of your site are the key to people actually wanting to use your site, and therefore wanting to do business with you. The last thing you want is for your beautiful site to be void of value to your customers, leaving you to have additional costs to fix it.
In this 2 hour class, you will:
- Explore options for building your own site, and when to hire a professional
- Discover how to determine what kind of site you need
- Learn how to understand your user's needs
- Determine when and how someone might use your site
- Consider customer goals and purpose of your site pages
- Uncover the 5 tenets of successful page design
With this class, you will learn the basics to start creating your own basic site, or establish a good base to begin finding a designer to work with moving forward. This class will not only save you money, but time, resources, and headaches. Hope to see you in class soon!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
I do the voodoo I do because I'm sick of seeing small businesses waste time, money, and effort on fads and gimmicks with unfulfilled promises. After spending many years in printing and web design, watching not only my clients but my employer struggle to find the right way to reach their customers, I decided I needed to do something that would make a difference.
By bringing back common sense, intelligent design, and purposeful architecture to the world of small business marketing, I help entrepreneurs grow their business authentically and within the constraints of their resources, so they may flourish and connect with their customers effectively on and offline.
Think that sounds good? Then sign up for a class!
