There's the medicine you find in the pharmaceutical isle at Walgreens, and then there's the medicine you find outside in your own backyard. And while we're all well and good with a little aspirin as the occasion arises, there's something very intriguing with letting mother nature heal us the way it intended for a fraction of the cost and a surprising amount of accuracy.
This Dabble class will introduce students to the world of herbal medicine. Learn the concepts and terminology behind the holistic healing movement, as well as strategies for safely collecting, preparing and applying herbs for curing everyday ailments.
Following instruction, each participant will have the opportunity to dive-in with a hands on project, during which we will make an herbal infused oil to take home. Tips on successfully crafting and applying infused oils will be shared as well information for those who would like to learn more.
